Netflix just shared some big news about Hunting Wives Season 2. Three well-known actors are joining the show: John Stamos from Palm Royale, Dale Dickey, who appeared in Fallout and Cam Gigandet from Burlesque.

They will all play recurring characters throughout the season. Stamos will play a character named Chase Brylan. Dickey will take on the role of Zelda Moffitt. Gigandet will play the role of Gentle John Moffitt. Cameras are already rolling in the United States right now. These actors bring years of experience to these roles.

May Cobb wrote the book that inspired the show. The first season of the show garnered attention upon its release in July. People couldn't stop talking about what happened in Texas. Sophie's story pulled viewers in from the very first episode. Her move from Boston changed her life completely.

Sophie and Margo aren't friends anymore when Hunting Wives Season 2 starts. Something happened between them after last season ended. Things got messy, and they went their separate ways.

But life has other plans for both women. Problems from their past come back around. New threats show up that neither woman expected. They have to figure out how to deal with everything together.

The show asks if these women really control what's happening. Or maybe someone else is pulling the strings behind the scenes. Texas becomes the setting for all their drama once again. Obsession still drives many of their choices. Power plays out in unexpected ways between characters. Seduction and murder weave through the storyline.

Here is the official synopsis:

"At the start of Season 2, Sophie and Margo are on the outs. But soon enough, old secrets and new foes force them back together. As they play their dangerous games the question arises. Are they the hunters or the hunted?"

Adding more actors means the plot becomes more complex as more characters usually bring more complications.

How did the first season do?

Hunting Wives Season 2 exists because the first season worked so well. It came out only in America on July 21. Even with that limit, tons of people watched it. The show remained on Netflix's global English Top 10 for five consecutive weeks. More than 20 million people viewed it during that time. Those numbers really impressed the executives. They decided pretty quickly to make more episodes.

People liked the mix of mystery and relationships. Wealthy Texas communities made an interesting backdrop. The show felt fresh compared to other streaming options. Some critics loved it while others didn't.

But the viewing stats told the real story. Enough people tuned in to justify another season. The drama kept audiences hooked week after week. Social media buzzed with theories about what would happen next.

Hunting Wives Season 2 looks bigger with new talent and unresolved mysteries ahead.
