When Storage Wars returns for season 16, viewers can expect more than just dusty lockers and bidding battles. This time, fan-favorite Brandi Passante is front and center, continuing her solo run in a world defined by the uncertainty of what lies inside abandoned storage units. Reflecting on her time on the series, Brandi told Screen Rant,

“I call it kind of a blessing and a curse, you know.”

She’s been through breakups, reinvention, and the grind of navigating a male-dominated auction scene, but through it all, she’s stayed sharp and surprisingly honest.

After stepping away from her on-screen partnership with Jarrod Schulz, Brandi carved her own space in the Storage Wars world. Now, as she preps for another round of bidding wars (and the unpredictability that comes with it), she’s ready to show viewers even more of her wit, grit, and strategy. And this time, they’ll get a longer look.

Brandi’s solo comeback changed Storage Wars

Brandi’s return to Storage Wars after her split with Jarrod wasn’t just a continuation—it was a reset. With the end of the duo dynamic, Brandi took the opportunity to establish her own approach.

“I definitely have to be… a lot tougher because it's a predominantly male-dominated… business,”

she explained.

“It's a good thing… to learn to play with the big boys.”

Season 16 premieres June 7 at 9 p.m. EDT on A&E, and Brandi’s return suggests more of the strategic approach and presence she's brought in past seasons. Whether she’s outmaneuvering competitors or making smart bids, her approach is strategic.

“I try to… do different things… like a misdirection,” she shared. “How can I distract? How can I… be discreet and get my bids in?”

In her solo era, Storage Wars doesn’t just feel different—it is different, and Brandi’s central role is a big part of that shift.

The series returns with longer episodes and more hijinks

This season, Storage Wars is getting an upgrade. Instead of 22-minute episodes, the series is expanding to a full hour. With more screen time for Brandi and the cast, the show will present more behind-the-scenes personality moments that fans usually don’t get to see.

While the auction action is still at the core of Storage Wars, the added time opens space for the cast’s dynamic, offbeat charm.

“Because it's an hour-long platform now, you get to see a little more… fun elements of us,”

Brandi said. Things that used to be edited out due to time constraints are finally making it in.

“We do a lot more fun hijinks this season.”

That change gives viewers a deeper understanding of who these bidders are outside the intense competition. And for someone like Brandi, who’s been evolving in front of the camera, the extra time offers a chance to offer more insight into her individual approach on the show.

After years on Storage Wars, Brandi keeps it real

Few reality stars are as refreshingly candid as Brandi Passante. She’s never pretended that working on Storage Wars is glamorous. In fact, when asked about giving advice to anyone trying to get into the business, she didn’t sugarcoat it:

“Don’t do it,”

she laughed.

“It’s not an easy job,”

Brandi explained. From hauling junk to dealing with critters, she knows it’s a far cry from the edited version fans see on TV.

“It is backbreaking work… You have to clean it up… and sometimes it's dirty, and it's disgusting.”

Then there’s the logistics—finding places to store and sell items, getting things appraised, and hauling trash to the dump.

While Storage Wars might look like easy money, Brandi knows better.

“You’re going to fail… over and over and over again,”

she said. But if you stick with it,

“It can be rewarding.”

A “blessing and a curse,” but still worth it

Despite the tough moments, Brandi appreciates what Storage Wars has brought into her life.

“It's been such a wild experience that I just didn't see for myself,”

she admitted.

“It can be very rewarding.”

Still, she doesn’t hide the emotional toll.

“The same element is a little tough for me, but… I’ve managed to power through,”

she said. She even joked,

“I have therapy, you know.”

Through highs and lows, Brandi has managed to keep her humor intact. Whether she’s bidding or bantering, her honesty resonates with fans who’ve watched her evolve from one half of a duo into a powerhouse in her own right. Her time on the show has come with challenges, but she’s remained open about the experience.

Brandi’s bonds on Storage Wars go way back

It’s not all competition in the world of Storage Wars. After so many seasons, Brandi’s built strong connections with her fellow castmates. When asked who her favorite person on the show is, she laughed:

“Oh yeah, [Kenny] is one of my favorite humans in the world.”

She also mentioned her close bond with Barry Weiss.

“He can be difficult to kind of work with… but he’s also really, really a great individual to me.”

Other familiar faces like Laura Dotson, Ivy Calvin, and Lisa Delarios also got a nod.

“At this point… I think it's widely known who I like and who I don't.”

These relationships help ground the show, giving Storage Wars more than just competitive energy. For Brandi, it’s about community—even if it occasionally feels like herding cats.

Whether it’s outsmarting rivals with clever bidding strategies or rolling with whatever the auction day brings, Brandi brings experience and confidence to the floor. And as fans get ready to watch season 16 unfold, they can expect her to bring that same strength, wit, and unpredictability she’s always delivered.
