The mysterious and thrilling supernatural series, Midnight Mass, definitely became the talk of the town with its fresh approach towards horror. The series ends with a horrifying event that leaves a lasting impact, especially through Leeza’s situation. It cannot be denied that Hamish Linklater did a commendable job in bringing out the dual characters in the series.

Mike Flanagan perfectly helmed the direction of the series, bringing out the depth of the series. In a recent interview, Hamish Linklater opened up about being eager to work with Mike Flanagan once again. The collaboration between the two of them definitely brings out the best in the series. Hence, it would be intriguing to see the two of them work together once again.

In a recent interview, Hamish Linklater, who plays the lead role of Father Paul Hill in Midnight Mass, spoke about Mike Flanagan. He says,

“He’s the best, he’s absolutely the best. I’d love to work with him again.”

Given the success of their collaboration, there is no doubt that their reunion would once again be a massive hit amongst the fans. Hamish Linklater’s words perfectly capture his dedication to the art. There is a distinct creative synergy that he has with Mike Flanagan.

Mike Flanagan always has a distinct vision for his projects. From shows like The Haunting of Hill House to The Fall of the House of Usher, all the projects that Mike Flanagan takes on become gold. For Hamish Linklater, it is also the very same.

In Midnight Mass, Hamish Linklater’s character, Father Paul Hill, a priest with a distinct, mysterious air, comes to the town of Crockett Island. The town begins to be strewn with bewildering events that slowly get interconnected with Father Paul Hill and Riley Flynn.

Riley Flynn was a venture capitalist; however, due to a drunk driving case, he became the reason for the death of a person. He then got incarcerated and returned to the town after four years of serving in prison. Hamish Linklater’s Father Paul Hill is anything but simple.

The seven episodes of the series unfold with more and more secrets and complications. Miracle and skepticism go hand in hand in Midnight Mass, leaving you with a multitude of twists and turns that slowly lead to a shocking end.

As the story progresses in Midnight Mass, Father Paul Hill’s secrets come into light. Father Paul is not the person he seems to be; rather, he holds much deeper secrets. However, after his arrival, the townspeople found many benefits, especially in their physical health.

At the end of the series, it is revealed that Father Paul Hill is not just the replacement of Monsignor Pruitt, but so much more than that. There is a slow and deliberate unfolding of the secrets. This aspect proves Mike Flanagan’s talent as a creator. Through Flagan’s profound narrative techniques, the aspect of faith in the series came out in a surprising manner.
