In Episode 5, the tension in Battle Camp boiled over, and fans aren't holding back. Alliances, physical challenges, and strategy have been the foundation of the reality competition series, which is currently available on Netflix. However, the fifth episode demonstrated that loyalty may be fleeting. Once viewed as a team member and Louis's best friend, Trey made a premeditated move that astounded participants and spectators alike.

In a startling turn of events during the elimination round, Trey urged Gio, another competitor, to vote Louis out of the match. Trey had previously claimed that Louis was his closest ally; as can be expected, this caught Gio and the audience off guard. In the same episode, Gio opened up about Trey and how disappointed he was that he had betrayed someone he had previously referred to as his best friend. Gio later called the action a betrayal too. He acknowledged that Trey's choice seemed calculating and manipulative.

Social media was immediately flooded by fans to vent their annoyance and dissatisfaction with Trey's strategies. Many viewers chastised Trey for playing dirty and betraying someone he professed to care about, even if some acknowledged the strategic aspect of the game. While others expressed how they align with Trey's game.

An admirer of Battle Camp posted on X,

"I don't dislike Trey for betraying louis. I dislike his game plan bc it wasn’t thought through. Bro turned on his strongest allies when he still needed them eventually killing his own game. Very weak social game and poor strategy #battlecamp"
"#BattleCamp yeah Trey... you backstabbed Louis in the worst way. It should've been you trey- i ❤️ trey but you did louis super dirty. I understand winning, but you voted your own mom off. Nobody should trust you. I hope Nick, Georgia, Lorenzo or Shubham win #battlecampnetflix," another tweet read.

More fans of Battle Camp shared their views on Trey's gameplay and him asking Gio to vote off Louis.

A netizen expressed,

"Lmao Trey couldn't *waaait* to throw Louis under the bus..what do u mean u're dead in the water..it's not even 100% u'll go home if ppl vote for u. There's such thing as loyalty and character #battlecamp"
"This Louis and Trey situation isn’t sitting right with my spirit at allllllll😭 someone should’ve called Trey out by the wheel😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 #BattleCamp," another X user commented.

A netizen wrote,

"I thought Tony was ruthless but what Trey did to Louis might be up there with Judas like wth 😭 anyway as soon as Louis & Bri left I switched that show off. Entertainment gone. Competitors gone. The one who deserved to win gone this show could have had me hooked #battlecamp"

"Lack of character"—Battle Camp star Gio calls out Trey for betraying Louis

In Battle Camp Episode 5, Trey's unexpected betrayal astonished both contestants and fans. Many viewed Trey's request for Gio to vote Louis out during the elimination as calculating and cruel, even though he had referred to him as his best friend throughout the season.

"Trey essentially threw Louis under the bus. Someone who called him his best friend… I think just shows such a lack of character and selfish ambition," Battle Camp star said.

Gio, who was disappointed and shocked by the treachery, called off Trey in the same episode and called his gameplay selfish.
