Julie recently appeared in an interview with People Magazine on the same day as the premiere. While there, she shared her thoughts on various things, including her journey as the show host.

When asked about her role and how she has been associated with the show, she mentioned she didn't want to "imagine" a world without herself hosting the CBS show.

Fans must remember how Julie has been hosting the show since 2000 and has become one of the renowned names. When she faced a question regarding the future of Big Brother, where she was not part of the show, Julie Chen Moonves responded,

"That's a world I don't even want to imagine."

Recently premiered Big Brother Season 27 saw housemates entering the show. There are many exciting twists and secrets that they would soon discover. Show host Julie Chen Moonves recently attended an interview with People Magazine, where she discussed various interesting topics.

While the show is celebrating its 25th anniversary, Julie recalled how things were back in the day. She recalled an incident from the show's debut season.

"Not only did I not think I would be here 25 years later, there were rumors that first season it was going to get canceled mid-season."

At the time, she was concerned about how the first season of the show would go on amid such a situation. She also recalled being criticized for her role as the show host.

"I thought, 'Oh, this show's going to get canceled or I'm going to get canceled from the show. Back then, we didn't have the motto 'expect the unexpected,' but it was in existence."

She recalled how her "main job" was as a journalist. She was working in CBS's news division. For the first season, when she hosted, she received critical reviews, such as being described as "stiff as a board" and having "no personality."

However, being on the show, she has "grown" as the host.

"I had to strike the right balance, and grown as a host to where I know when to play it straight, when to have a sense of humor, when to laugh at myself," added Julie.

When discussing the future, she admitted that she couldn't "imagine" the world without hosting Big Brother. But, if it were to happen, she revealed who she would want to take on the role of the CBS show host. She was talking about her 15-year-old son, Charlie.
