Ever since the first trailer of I Love LA was released, fans have been excited for the comedy series’ premiere. The show follows a group of friends, each having a different career path in Los Angeles, who reconnect after years.

Maia is an aspiring talent agent who is surprised by her former best friend and successful influencer, Tallulah. When Maia takes on Tallulah as her first celebrity client, it leads to chaos.

The release date and time of I Love LA Episode 1

HBO has confirmed the release date and time of I Love LA as November 2, 2025, 10:30 PM ET / PT. The show is going to comprise eight episodes, which will be released weekly on Sundays.

Along with its broadcast on HBO, the episode will also be available to stream at the same time on HBO Max. The streamer costs $10.99 per month for an ad-supported plan, $18.49 per month for a Standard plan, and $22.99/month for a Premium plan.


What to expect from I Love LA Episode 1?

The premiere is titled Block Her. It will establish the main characters and their world, and introduce the audience to Maia, an ambitious woman who wants to make it big in LA as a talent agent. After a string of failed opportunities, she comes across her college best friend and influencer, Tallulah, who reenters her life and hires her as her agent.

How the two former best friends navigate their professional relationship will be explored in I Love LA. Meanwhile, they also have an eccentric friend group, including Charlie, a celebrity stylist, and Alani, the daughter of a popular actor.

The only person in the group who does not belong to the entertainment industry and becomes a voice of reason for his friends is Dylan, Maia's boyfriend, and a schoolteacher. The official synopsis of the series reads:

“A tight-knit friend group gathers after years apart, navigating the complexities of ambition, relationships, and how time has changed them.”

The show stars Rachel Sennott as Maia. She has also served as the creator and executive producer of the series. Sennott is joined by Odessa A'zion as Tallulah, True Whitaker as Alani, Josh Hutcherson as Dylan, and Jordan Firstman as Charlie.

Moses Ingram and Lauren Holt will make recurring appearances in the series. The show is also set to feature a stellar guest cast, including Leighton Meester, Elijah Wood, Quenlin Blackwell, Colin Woodell, Froy Gutierrez, Tim Baltz, and Josh Brener.
