Love Island UK Season 12 is set to premiere on June 9, 2025, on ITV. Ahead of the reality show's latest season premiere, one of the Islanders, Kyle Ashman, was removed from the cast by ITV.
It was because of a violent incident and Kyle's alleged involvement in it. He was mentioned as he won't be entering the villa because of "personal reasons." However, Kyle broke the silence via Instagram on June 4, 2025, sharing his side of the events.
Love Island UK's Kyle shared a video clip where he mentioned:
"Hello everyone, I'm Kyle. I just came in here to say I'm sure you've seen the news circulating. I'm innocent. There was no further action. I'm not a bad guy. Honestly, I'm not a bad guy."
Love Island UK's Kyle reveals how an opportunity was "taken away from him"
Recently, Love Island UK's confirmed cast member Kyle Ashman was removed from the Islanders, who will be entering the villa in the upcoming season. It happened as a result of an incident from the past that involved violence and the alleged involvement of Kyle.
ITV shared a statement with Deadline on June 3, 2025, which stated:
"For personal reasons, Kyle will not be entering the Love Island villa as planned."
Later, Kyle took to Instagram to share what had happened and how an opportunity was presented, but it was "taken away" from him. He talked about how after the news about him "circulated," he wanted to clear that he was "innocent." He added that there was no further action and that he was not a "bad guy."
Love Island UK's Kyle said he was a "normal guy" from a "normal place." When he was given a chance to participate in the ITV show, he:
"Grabbed it with both hands, and it's been taken away from me."
After losing out on the opportunity to be on the reality show, he added that he came across various support pages and that there were chances.
"I've seen all the support pages, and who knows, maybe I'll get a chance to go and cancel it more or as a bombshell. Get back in and show you who really am. Show you I'm not a bad guy. We'll see."
He mentioned that there was still a "chance" that he could enter the villa as a "bombshell," meaning a wildcard entry. He concluded the video by stating that he was not a "bad guy" and that it would be seen later.
Love Island UK Season 12 will premiere on June 9, 2025, on ITV.
