It was absolutely right of Love Island USA to kick Yulissa Escobar from season 7, and fans like me are truly happy. The new installment kicked off on Tuesday this week, but did not come without delays and problems with viewers wondering when the new episode will be released. However, with Yulissa's sudden exit, many wonder if that was the reason for the delay.

Turns out, Yulissa, whom we saw get paired with Ace during the first episode, is racist. TMZ released a video of her during two podcasts where she would use the n-word to describe her boyfriend. Given the fact that she is Cuban American, this was cultural appropriation.

And in the first episode of Love Island USA season 7, many fans pointed out that she wore an outfit that was a misrepresentation of Chinese culture. She even used chopsticks to tie her hair in a bun.

Then, during the second episode, after around 20 minutes, it was announced by the narrator Ian Stirling that Yulissa had left the villa. This made the fans rejoice because even if the producers had not booted her, the viewers all over the internet had decided to do so through votes, the first chance they got.

According to me, it was the right decision. Love Island USA, even though it sees a lot of strategies, drama, politics, and gameplay, should be a safe place where nobody's roots or ethnicities are targeted.

There should be a level playing field and also a chance of finding love in someone who shares the same values as you. However, Yulissa, by using the n-word and racial slurs, made sure that she was not the kind of person who could be trusted.

Love Island USA removes Yulissa Escobar from season 7

Love Island USA fans, as curious as they are, decided to dig up some more information on the contestants, especially Yulissa. It was revealed by one of them that she is pro-Trump and anti-Kamala Harris.

This made the majority of them dislike her presence at the villa. Topping it all off with these comments she made on the podcasts, the producers had no choice but to send her packing.

The entirety of fans on Twitter are taking their sweet time to celebrate her exit, and rightfully so. Any person who expresses racist opinions should not be on national television, especially one as reputed as Peacock.

During her introduction on Love Island USA, Yulissa had said,

"I'm here to find my knight in shining armour. I'm here to find that movie kind of love."

She revealed having a mobile bar business in Miami, Florida, and being 27 years old. Imagine being 27 and still not knowing how not to be a racist!

This is not the first time that Love Island USA has removed someone from the contestants for being controversial; however, this is the first time they have removed someone for having a racist background. As for Ace, he was left without a partner for now, but fans hope that he soon finds one.

Love Island USA season 7 drops new episodes weekly on Peacock at 9 PM Eastern Time on Tuesdays. They can be watched with a subscription.
