At San Diego Comic-Con, The Hollywood Reporter interviewed four stars from Gen V — Jaz Sinclair, Chance Perdomo, Lizze Broadway, and Maddie Phillips.

The cast of Gen V brought plenty of laughs during a fun segment where they were asked to come up with their superhero names, separate from their actual characters in the show. The moment was lighthearted and showed off the cast’s chemistry and quick wit.

One standout was Maddie Phillips (Cate Dunlap), who jokingly said,

"I might be like Zone Out, because I zone out a lot." referencing how she sometimes spaces out or gets lost in thought—an amusing, self-deprecating superhero identity that fans found relatable and hilarious.

Other cast members played along too, inventing silly or bizarre superhero aliases on the spot. Read on to know what more they said.

Here is what the Gen V stars reveal at San Diego Comic-Con

When The Hollywood Reporter anchor asked the stars of Gen V about what their superhero powers would be, the stars engaged with some insightful and hilarious answers to the questions, adding to the offbeat, meta tone that aligns perfectly with the Boys universe.

Maddie Phillips also added to her "zone out" comment,

"My parents were epileptic, having pretty mild seizures, but it's just actually dissociation."

The segment didn’t reveal much about Season 2 plotlines, but it gave fans a delightful glimpse into the cast’s personalities and humour.

"I don't know what mine would be", said Derek Luh confused.

While Lizze Broadway answered how she doesn't feel the need to have powers because they are "stupid,"

"I don't think I want powers, I think what I have learnt from these shows is that you don't want powers, powers are stupid things and they're gonna get you killed."

While only Clancy Brown answered his appropriate name,

"Super Mister."

Gen V is a dark and satirical superhero series set in the same universe as The Boys. The show is created by Eric Kripke, Craig Rosenberg, and Evan Goldberg and follows the lives of young adult Supes at Godolkin University, a prestigious, Vought-run college for superheroes-in-training.

The show comes with a brilliant cast. Marie Moreau, played by Jaz Sinclair, is portrayed as a blood-manipulating Supe and is supposedly tied to the darker secrets of the school. Emma Meyer is played by Lizze and is Marie's roommate, who can shrink by vomiting.

Alongside them is Andre Anderson, played by Chance Perdomo, the son of a famous Supe. Jordan comes as someone who can transform genders. Cate has a mind-controlled Supe, and Sam is a troubled teen with immense strength.

Gen V is releasing its season 2 on September 17, 2025.
