I think I’ve figured out who the mole in MobLand is after this one scene in Episode 9

As Guy Ritchie’s MobLand is heading close to its finale, the episodes are getting tenser than ever and the penultimate episode of the show might have hinted at who the mole among the Harrigans might be.

Right from the beginning of MobLand, the presence of a mole within the Harrigan family has been a persistent topic and by now, it has been established that someone from the family has been actively working with Richie and giving him vital information to beat the Harrigans.

In the first episode of MobLand, Conrad had killed his longtime friend Archie as Maeve persuaded him that he was the mole. However, even after his death, important information kept reaching Richie as well as the police, which confirmed that Archie was not the rat.

While Maeve tried to convince Conrad that Harry might be the mole after all, he refused to listen to her and MobLand episode 9 hinted that the Harrigans’ lawyer O'Hara Delaney might be the rat they have been looking for all along.

O'Hara Delaney is aware of all the dirty secrets of the Harrigans in MobLand

When Archie was killed by Conrad in MobLand Episode 1, besides the family members, O'Hara Delaney was also present. She is the family lawyer and therefore it is only natural that nothing is hidden from her. She knows all about the crime empire that the Harrigan family has built, and knowing all the things she does, it will not be surprising if she indeed turns out to be the rat.

O'Hara Delaney has made recurring appearances throughout the episodes of MobLand and in episode 8, she herself made the claim of a rat being present among the Harrigans. However, given how common it is for moles to pull off this move so that no one suspects them, Delaney might be doing the same.

Harry, however, knows who the mole is as Richie’s man Freddie told him the name before he killed him off. The revelation happened offscreen and therefore the viewers could not know whose name Freddie had mentioned.

In episode 9, Harry gets the news that the deal between the cartel and Harrigans is finalized. He gives this information to Delaney, who instead of saying congratulations or showing signs of excitement says the same thing that Archie said in episode 1. She mentions her skepticism about the Harrigans dealing in fentanyl and also says that perhaps Archie was right.

It should be noted here that it was Archie’s views on the Harrigans getting involved with fentanyl that got him killed. As he said that he was not certain about Conrad doing business with the cartel, Conrad was convinced that he was the mole as Maeve told him. Delaney repeats the same behavior here and since Archie was not the mole, chances of her being the one is quite high.

Harry responds with monosyllables to Delaney’s concerns and asks her to meet the next day. She looks visibly worried, which further makes it seem that she has been playing on both sides and now she knows that Harry knows.

Given the kind of information she has on the Harrigan family, the only way to stop the situation from escalating further would be to kill her and it now remains to be seen what the finale ultimately reveals.
