Fans must know that JaNa and her boyfriend, Kenny Rodriguez, broke up, and since then, this was her first time opening up about how she had been. She opened up about her feelings, how Leah and Serena from Love Island USA have been there for her, and more.

Craig said that she didn't like to talk about her past relationship with Kenny and that she had "moved on" from that:

"I don't want to waste my breath on him if I'm being so honest, but it was what I thought it was. Like I thought it was a good relationship, but it wasn't. And that's fine. It was so dark, you know, the past. I don't like talking about it anymore. I've already healed, I'd say, from it. I've moved on. I've gotten the closure I need."

Love Island USA: JaNa Craig opens up about "red flags," support from Leah and Serena, and more

Love Island USA star JaNa Craig appeared for an exclusive interview with People Magazine on August 22, 2025. She recalled her split with Kenny Rodriguez and said that it was a "good relationship."

However, she said that she didn't want to "waste" her breath talking about the past. While she thought it was a "good" relationship, later she learned that it wasn't. JaNa noted that she had gotten closure from it. Love Island USA star said:

"So, I don't really like to dwell on the past. There's no benefit of doing so. But, I can say I've filled myself up with so much work that I don't even have time to think about the things that happened, you know, these past few weeks. And I love that coz I don't need to. It's not healthy for me."

Further, JaNa shared her thoughts on how everyone told her that she missed "so many" red flags. She also mentioned, when someone has a "hidden agenda," they would be genuine until they reach their goal.

Craig recalled fighting and talking things out with Kenny. After that, she thought they were "good."

However, Craig said that no one was perfect and that no couple was perfect. She also recalled that there were situations for which both of them forgave each other:

"So it gets frustrating that it's...it's okay. Life goes on. I've always been an exteremely positive person. I practice gratitude every morning. So, when bad things do happen, I just reflect. Self-reflection is like very, very important."

She added that she would write down her feelings, talk to God, and pray about it. Love Island USA star recalled having friends and their support throughout the situation:

"I don't think words describe how grateful I am to have Leah and Serena in my life. We call each other like soulmates. We're on FaceTime every day. Like right after this, I have to hop on our call...with our daily call."

JaNa added that they always have each other's backs, and they check on each other. She mentioned the support and defending each other.
