In 2019, ahead of the Game of Thrones finale, Emilia Clarke, who played Daenerys Targaryen aka the Mother of Dragons, appeared as a guest on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Among other things, when Colbert asked whether she had revealed the Game of Thrones ending to anybody, Clarke nodded yes. Clarke clarified that she had spilled the GOT finale secrets to her mother. She told,

"Well I've gotta be honest, I did. Not just my dog. I wasn't supposed to. Sorry lads. I told my mum."

Clarke continued,

"But the good thing about telling my mom these things she's a vault because she's just done forgotten it. I told her."

Clarke shared how she went for a long walk after she read the finale script for the first time. She said,

"I could't quite handle it. So I walked out. It should have been raining- it was just that kind of a moment. Existential crisis. And I went for a walk didn't bring anything and kind of walked for two hours."

It has been almost six years that the Game of Thrones wrapped up with the Season 8 finale. The finale received mixed reviews- while some were not too elated about how it mindlessly killed a fan-favourite character, others praised the cast's performance. Nonetheless Game of Thrones based on George R.R Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire starring Sophie Turner, Kit Harington, Peter Dinklage remains one of the most iconic series in televsion history.
