The Idol I episode 6 starts with Hye-joo and Ra-Ik having a conversation about their relationship. Hye-joo asks Ra-Ik how he could move on, knowing that the two never broke up in the first place? She adds that she left him as she felt she was hurting him, but now he needs her.

Ra-Ik shuts her down, making it clear that he doesn't need her, as Se Na is the only person holding him together during this difficult time.

The Idol I Episode 6 takes viewers back to a flashback where Hye-joo asks Ra-Ik why he acted like he didn't know about her being involved with other men. Ra-Ik explains that he was only trying to protect her, as it could have harmed her reputation.

However, Hye-joo loses her temper and tells him that she became this way because of him. She also blames him for leaving her behind, possibly pointing to the fact that he never openly acknowledged their relationship in front of the public.

Later, Hye-joo meets Se Na in private and offers help through a law firm that could support her in the case. Se Na lets her know that she will reach out if she needs the help.

Se Na advises Ra-Ik not to get defensive and maintain his calm while talking to Jae-hee during the interrogation. However, Ra-Ik does the opposite! Jae-hee reveals that on the night of the murder, he told Woo-seong about the contract Ra-Ik was allegedly going to sign with another company, and Jae-hee was planning to reveal the same to the press.

Woo-seong doesn't believe him and asks Jae-hee not to tell about this to anyone, as it's not confirmed, and he himself will talk to Ra-Ik. The viewers already saw in Episode 1 that Ra-Ik told Woo-seong about his comeback plan and wasn't planning on leaving the group. Turns out, it was Ra-Ik's mother who signed his name under another company's contract for money.

Se Na reaches out to the company that made the contract and makes clear that the contract is void, as Ra-Ik, being the main party, never gave any consent. Surprisingly, it was Woo-seong who reached out to another agency for them to sign Gold Boys.

Se Na, to cheer Ra-Ik, shows him a billboard his fans planned. On the other hand, Jae-hee warns his company executive that if the company doesn't renew his contract, he will reveal whatever he knows to the public.

Idol I episode 6 also gave viewers a different view of Byung-gyun's character, who is out there to find the truth instead of just going behind Ra-Ik. However, he is constantly pressured by his father to win the case and not switch his suspects.

Ra-Ik turns to Mr. Geum and Se Na's past comes to light

Ra-Ik meets Mr. Geum to ask for his help. During their conversation, Mr. Geum tells him that he knows Ra-Ik never planned to leave and that the two sides were still going back and forth over the contract renewal. To support him further, Mr. Geum even says that he is willing to testify in court, as Ra-Ik is still under his label.

Meanwhile, Se Na meets her boss, and viewers learn that her father was once involved in a similar case where no one trusted him except Se Na's boss, mirroring the situation Se Na faces now.

Viewers also notice a growing closeness between Se Na and Ra-Ik, as he overhears the conversation about her father and plays the piano for her, talking about music while subtly trying to learn more about her.

Ra-Ik decides to make gimbap for Se Na after knowing it's her favorite food. In the search for rice, he enters the attic and finds Se Na's belongings. The episode ends with Ra-Ik finding the truth about Se Na being his fan all this time.

Idol I episode 6 is streaming on Netflix.
