Bad Sisters is an Irish black comedy show developed by Sharon Horgan, Dave Finkel, and Brett Baer. Based on the Belgian show Clan by Malin-Sarah Gozin, Bad Sisters features Horgan, Anne-marie Duff, Sarah Greene, Eva Birthistle, and others.
The show premiered on Apple TV+ in 2022 and has two seasons so far. Bad Sisters is about the five Garvey sisters—Eva, Grace, Ursula, Bibi, and Becka, who all live in Dublin. Things change when Grace’s abusive husband, John, dies suddenly, and the sisters are caught amidst a life insurance investigation.
Bad Sisters flips between plots as it showcases the incidents before John’s death, as Grace’s sisters plot to murder him, and also showcases the aftermath as a life insurance agent tries to get to the bottom of how the sisters are involved in John’s death. The show has received critical and commercial acclaim for its dark humor and performances, and with the emotionally topsy-turvy ending of Season 2, here are the five things that Season 3 of Bad Sisters needs to answer, if the show happens.
What about Ian's wife, the future of Blánaid, and other questions that need answering if Season 3 of Bad Sisters happens
1. The future of Blánaid

Also known as “Bla”, Blánaid Williams is the daughter of Grace and John Paul and has been an important observer regarding her mother’s abusive marriage to her father. In an interview with Bustle, creator Sharon Horgan talked about the fact that even though she believes that her show is better off as a two-season series, she might take it forward for the sake of Blánaid’s future. Even though Bla is surrounded by her aunts and now knows the full extent of her father’s abusive nature, Season 3 of the show could dive further into what her future looks like and how she is coping.
2. Are the sisters capable of killing a person?

One of the most important questions that Bad Sisters seems to ask is the fact that the sisters can kill a person. In Season 2, it is revealed that Ian was just using Grace for her money, and once she confides in him that she killed her ex-husband John, he begins to blackmail her. When Grace unfortunately dies due to Ian, the sisters are enraged, and Angelica seemingly kills him. However, he is still alive, and even when he falls off the cliff, he is still alive. When Bibi goes down to kill him, the sisters stop her and even call for help. Therefore, the fact of the matter remains that the sisters cannot kill a person. However, things could change in Season 3, and the sisters could come back with vengeance towards Ian or target someone new.
3. What about Ian’s wife?

In the finale of Season 2 of Bad Sisters, Ian pushes Grace to the floor after she confesses that she killed John, and Grace breaks down. When Becka arrives and finds out Ian’s secret phone in the bathroom, Grace charges it and calls a number. It is revealed that Ian has a wife and that his real name is Cormac. It is also revealed by Houlihan that Ian or Cormac has a history of being abusive towards women, and his wife as well. Therefore, it will be interesting to see what becomes of Ian’s unnamed wife in Season 3. Her character can be an interesting starting point for the next season.
4. Does Joe know the whole truth?

Another character that can be an interesting starting point for Season 3 of Bad Sisters can be Becka’s love interest, Joe. The new season could focus on Joe, who wants to better understand the events surrounding Grace’s death. In the series, his character is often on the sidelines, and it would be interesting to see his character in the center in the new series. Also, his character might not know the many nitty-gritties of the incidents that the Garvey sisters went through, and therefore, it would be interesting to see him try to piece everything together.
5. The childhood of the Garvey sisters

Viewers know that the Garvey sisters are a tight-knit bunch, and the sisters are always together for each other. However, the show has focused more on the death of John and Grace in both seasons, and therefore, viewers don’t get a chance to witness how the sisters actually behaved with each other as children and how they got so close in the first place. The sisters have different personalities, and therefore, it would be interesting to see in Season 3 of Bad Sisters how their bond came to be.
