S Line

Premiering on July 11 on Wavve, S-Line is adapted from a webtoon with an interesting premise. The story shows how red lines appear over people’s heads, which reveal with whom they have had physical relationships. The premise is quite unique and focuses on themes like technological advancement and how that can affect personal lives and lead to privacy concerns.

Starring Lee Soo-Hyuk, Arin, Lee Da-Hee, and Lee Eun-Saem, S Line will drop two new episodes every Friday.


Law and the City

Legal drama fans will find Law and the City to be a perfect watch, as the show follows Seochodong Judicial Town's five associate lawyers who deal with the upheavals of their personal and professional lives.

Starring Moon Ga-Young, Ryu Hye-Young, Kang You-Seok, Im Sung-Jae, and Lee Jong-Suk, Law and the City premiered on July 5, with new episodes dropping every Saturday and Sunday at 9:20 p.m. KST. The show will be streaming on Viki.


The Nice Guy

For fans who love a good melodrama with a noirish touch, The Nice Guy might be a real pleasure to watch. The K-drama follows Park Seok-Chul, who is the eldest grandson of a gangster family, and Kang Mi-Young, his first love, who aspires to become a singer.

Portrayed by Lee Dong-Wook, Park Seok-Chul’s character is shown to have a good heart, despite his family background. Lee Sung-Kyung stars alongside him as Kang Mi-Young. The Nice Guy premieres on July 18, with new episodes dropping every Friday at 8:50 p.m. KST on JTBC.


Low Life

Webtoon adaptations are becoming a successful and frequent sighting in K-dramas, and Low Life marks another addition to that list. The crime-comedy drama is set in the 1970s and follows a bunch of rather unfortunate country people as they go after a sunken ship apparently full of treasures off the Sinan coast.

Starring Im Soo-Jung, Yang Se-Jong, and Ryu Seung-Ryong, Low Life premieres on July 16, with new episodes airing every Wednesday on Disney+.


The Defects

Another webtoon adaptation, The Defects is a revenge action thriller that follows the children who want to take revenge on their adoptive parents for abandoning them. Fights for survival and desperate means to take revenge are the key themes of this K-drama.

Choi Young-Joon, Yum Jung-Ah, Dex, and Won Jin-Ah star in The Defects, which premieres on July 21, with new episodes dropping every Monday and Tuesday at 10 p.m. KST on ENA.
