Invincible Showrunner teases more Viltrumite action coming in Season 4

Invincible Season 3 had fans on tenterhooks when it released on Prime Video earlier this year. Now, fans are highly anticipating the arrival of Season 4 of the show, which is slated to release sometime next year. However, Robert Kirkman, the creator of Invincible, has teased some details about the show to the fans, and these details have left fans extremely interested.

Season 3 saw Mark Grayson embarking on quite a few challenging journeys, wherein he faced some of his toughest battles. During this whole process, the character also saw several ups and downs with his impatient younger brother while also having to stall and prevent the invasion of the Earth by Viltrumites.

While Season 3 made Invincible one of the highest-rated shows online, one of the main complaints that fans had with respect to the show was that the animation quality could have been much better. However, Kirkman has announced that these complaints have all been addressed in Season 4, so fans should be quite excited about the same.

Robert Kirkman states that Invincible Season 4 will ramp up the "Viltrumite stuff"

While fans loved Season 3, some had a few complaints, including the animation quality during the big Conquest battle scene and the action related to the Viltrumites that was shown in the season. However, in a recent interview with Deadline, Robert Kirkman, the creator of the show, revealed that all of these concerns had been addressed in Season 4, and fans should look forward to the action they will see in the upcoming season.

Kirkman addressed the queries regarding the Vitrumite action, stating that the fans who have been waiting for more of that since Season 1 will finally see their desire come true in Season 4.

Speaking about the Conquest battle, Kirkman revealed,

"I mean, until some of the stuff that’s coming up in Season 4, and that’s also by design. We’re trying to make the show an escalating show. So that, every season, in some sense, tops the season before it. It may top emotionally or physically. We’re not going to be able to stage bigger and bigger battles every season until the show becomes impossible to produce. But we are planning aspects that will elevate every season so that when you watch the show, you get a sense of growth."

Season 4 of the popular show is slated for release sometime in March or April 2026, and will presumably feature eight episodes.
