Irish Blood release schedule: When do new episodes of the Alicia Silverstone series drop?

For the latest Acorn TV series, Irish Blood, not only is the name of the series intriguing, but the premise is equally promising. The official IMDb plot for this series reads,

“Divorce lawyer Fiona Sharpe receives a message from her estranged father, embarking on a journey to Ireland. She uncovers family truths and her father's dark past, realizing her life's abandonment story was a protective lie.”

This drama takes us on an intense journey with a divorce lawyer and the mysteries that she unfolds on her journey to know more about her father’s disappearance. As she dives deeper into the mystery, she uncovers more and more uncomfortable secrets that were hidden from her.

The main aspect that distinguishes this series from the other dramas is the gothic feel to it. There is an intense haunting element throughout the episode that gives it a chilling feeling. It is rare to see TV shows have the capability to get us hooked from the very first episode. However, Irish Blood is the type of series that will make you eagerly anticipate what is to come.

Irish Blood release schedule

The series premiered on Monday, August 11, with the first two episodes on Acorn TV. The next episode of Irish Blood will release on August 18. It will be followed by the fourth episode on August 25.

The fifth and sixth episodes of the series will be released on September 1 and September 8, respectively. The series can be streamed on Acorn.

New episodes will come out every Monday at 3:00 am Eastern Time till the finale drops in September.

Alicia Silverstone is the protagonist in Irish Blood

Alicia Silverstone, famed for her roles in Clueless, Batman & Robin, and The Crush, amongst others, plays the lead role of Fiona Sharpe. Along with her, Jason O'Mara, Wendy Crewson, and many more notable actors are also in the series.

From Clueless to Irish Blood, Alicia Silverstone’s journey in the entertainment industry has been an eventful one. In an interview with Forbes, Alicia Silverstone speaks about why the concept of the show intrigued her.

“I think that I was attracted to the possibilities. When it came to me, it was just an idea, and I was attracted to the idea - this Irish land and the potential. Ultimately, what I think I love about the show and what I had hoped for was you’ve got the mystery, which is super fun, and the crime elements - but it’s quirky. There’s a quirky nature to the whole thing, and on top of it, I think it’s an emotionally rich drama, and that’s what I, as an actor, want - is to be able to sink my teeth into something.”

Alicia Silverstone’s performance in the series is undoubtedly a huge contributing factor. It adds to the show’s rising popularity. She is known to bring a unique authenticity to every role she does. While discussing her performance in this series, she also adds,

“My focus was to make it as layered and nuanced and grounded as possible, so that I would have a lot to do - so it would be fun for me to act. I want to do things that are challenging and interesting.”
