Marvel fans have been waiting for the introduction of this character from the comics for ages, and Ironheart revealed him, hidden in the tiniest detail, in his true form. The Ironheart season finale premiered with the final batch of episodes and many twists and turns, and most importantly, an appearance from Mephisto himself, as portrayed by Sacha Baron Cohen.

However, even though Cohen appears as the human form of the powerful villain Mephisto, there is a tiny detail of Mephisto in his truest form, hidden in the finale. Here's what we know.

Diehard Marvel fans had been anticipating Mephisto's introduction for a while now, and Ironheart had also been dropping hints left and right about Mephisto, foreshadowing his appearance, from The Hood's mysterious origins to a red M in the episode posters. Nevertheless, Mephisto finally made his arrival into the Marvel Cinematic Universe canon through Parker Robbins and his hood.

Sacha Baron Cohen's casting as Mephisto brings a new era of horror-themed supernatural storytelling for the MCU. Even though Sacha Baron Cohen plays the human form of Mephisto, in the finale episode, we witness a glimpse of Mephisto in his truest form, the form seen in the Marvel comics - the red demonic comic-accurate figure. A reflection on a spoon shows Mephisto in all his red, demonic glory.

Even though it is a shame we did not get to witness Mephisto in his full glory, this is a real treat for the Marvel fans looking forward to this addition to the MCU.

At the moment, there is no information about the next project that Cohen's Mephisto will be seen in, but that doesn't stop the fans from theorizing about his appearance. These fan theories range all over the upcoming MCU projects, from the next Dr. Strange movie to Midnight Suns. Meohisto's arrival into the canon has sparked a new wave of excitement among fans.

Mephisto makes his first appearance in Ironheart in a flashback as the mysterious individual who gave Parker the hood when Parker asked for refuge; unbeknownst to him, he had also sold his soul to the devil. In the present, it is insinuated that Riri has also fallen under the same guise and sold her soul, as she agrees to a deal with him where he brings back Natalie in return for "nothing you'll miss."

In the final scenes of the season, we witness Riri reunited with Natalie, but instead of the A.I. N.A.T.A.L.I.E., it is the real Natalie who has been resurrected. As they hug, we witness a similar scar on Riri's arm as we've witnessed on Parker many times, proving that Riri has also fallen under Mephisto's control, akin to Parker.

Nevertheless, Ironheart has established its supernatural presence through Mephisto's arrival, and even though he seems satisfied for now after having made a deal with Riri, only time will tell what he demands of her next.
