The Marvel Fandom has a lot of chatter regarding the return of Mephisto after years of waiting, and Disney+'s new show Ironheart might be the one through which Marvel introduces Mephisto into its universe. Even though there were rumours that Mephisto could be making an entry into the Marvel universe through Daredevil: Born Again (2025) and then through Deadpool and Wolverine (2024), it appears as if the latest Marvel Television show might be the chosen one.

Ironheart features Riri Williams as she builds a suit from scratch and finds a kindred spirit in Parker Robbins. But Parker Robbins, aka The Hood, is a villain who possesses powers owing to mystical and supernatural forces greater than him. This makes it entirely plausible for Marvel to introduce Mephisto through The Hood.

The rumours regarding Mephisto's arrival have been rampant since he was mentioned in Disney+'s 2024 show, Agatha All Along. Showrunner Jac Schaeffer then said that Mephisto's name-dropping was larger than him and the show, and it belonged to the larger Marvel-ness of it, hinting that something big was on the way very soon. Additionally, Deadline revealed in 2022 that Sacha Baron Cohen would be joining the Marvel universe to play a comic book villain, suggesting it might be Mephisto.

Recently, Ironheart has been dropping many hints that something big is set to be unveiled in the show. The first of these hints came in the form of the Faust posters on the wall behind N.A.T.A.L.I.E. when Riri asks her why she glitched in front of the cops in the second episode. The Faust posters of the German play, which is a tragedy revolving around a man who trades his soul to the devil for magical power and knowledge, could be symbolic of how Parker got his hood and his powers as well from the devil himself.

Riri has similar questions in Ironheart as she asks Clown where Parker got his hood from, and she relays to Riri rumours she has heard. According to these rumours, he had stolen it from a coat check at a place called the "bottom lounge' or that he had "wrestled it off a demon". These rumours are also curious, as the bottom lounge could be referring to hell itself, and the demon could be a follower of Mephisto.

When Parker's cousin asks him why he wears the hood even though it gives him so much pain, he says it is "the price I've got to pay for what he did to me". If there's anything that screams the devil in Ironheart, it is this line itself.

Episode 3 of Ironheart places Parker in a desperate position as he tries to throw the hood away, claiming he's done with it, but he's subjected to voices and visions threatening him for non-participation. All of these little hints referring to the presence of the devil, as well as the red M in the poster for Episode 5, are generating strong speculations that Marvel might introduce Mephisto through Ironheart in the penultimate episode.
