Ironheart, one of the most anticipated MCU shows of the year, has just released its trailer. As the trailer states, Ironheart comes out on 24th June 2025, only on Disney+.
Dominique Thorne stars as Riri Williams/Ironheart, reprising her role after Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The show is going to be the first Marvel show to launch with a three-episode premiere, as the trailer's description says,
Marvel Television's all-new series from executive producer Ryan Coogler, launches with a 3-episode premiere June 24 at 6pm PT/9pm ET, only on @DisneyPlus.
About Ironheart
As we had reported before, Ironheart will follow Riri Williams' life after the events of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Ryan Coogler, who first introduced us to Riri Williams on screen in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, is also the Executive producer of Ironheart. As to what to expect from the upcoming series, Coogler said in conversation with Marvel,
“This show has an energy to it,”
He hints,
“I think people will take to that scrappy optimism and that desire to persevere.”
The official logline of Ironheart, according to Marvel, reads,
Set after the events of “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”, Marvel Television's “Ironheart” pits technology against magic when Riri Williams (Dominique Thorne)—a young, genius inventor determined to make her mark on the world—returns to her hometown of Chicago.
Cast and crew
The trailer opens up to Riri Williams, played by Dominique Thorne, getting stuck in an elevator. As she repeatedly hits the elevator's Car Operating Panel, it falls apart to reveal a three-minute timer. An unknown voice welcomes her and says,
''In less than three minutes, the air in this elevator will no longer be breathable.''
When Riri asks what is going on, the voice says it's her interview. The voice then tells her that she can wear the gas mask to save herself, but Riri chooses to use her presence of mind and her skills to find a way out of the elevator. Upon coming out of the elevator, both Riri and the viewers see Parker Robbins, played by Anthony Ramos, and we can tell that she has passed her interview.
Upon clearing the interview, Riri returns to work at MIT and befriends Parker, who later turns out to be The Hood. The rest of the trailer shows us how Riri wants to create something 'iconic,' and Parker funds it, even though the entire thing is illegal. As Ryan Coogler says to Marvel,
“It really highlights what happens when that ambition goes unchecked,”
“What kind of price do you pay?”

However, Parker is soon revealed to be the villain, and the show will show us how Ironheart fights him and the chaos he creates.
The show features Lyric Ross as Natalie Washington, Riri's best friend. Alden Ehrenreich plays Joe McGillicuddy, Manny Montana plays Cousin John, Anji White plays Ronnie Williams, Riri's mother, and Matthew Elam plays Xavier Washington.
We get to see Riri wear and fight in the Iron Man-inspired suit, but Ryan Coogler makes it clear that,
“It was very quickly realized that she was her own character in her own lane. There’s a difference between [Riri] and maybe a Captain America or a Black Panther, where a mantle is being passed. This is a character who was obviously influenced by Tony Stark and inspired by him, but she is also very different and doing her own thing.”

Ironheart comes out on 24th June at 9 pm ET/6 pm ET in a three-episode premiere on Disney+. The next three episodes will come out on the next three Tuesdays at 9 pm ET/6 pm PT on Disney+.
