Emily in Paris Season 5 is back, and it follows Emily as she navigates her life, balancing her career, relationship, and friendships. Among the new characters that Emily meets in season 5 is Bryan Greenberg's Jake Campbell. Yes, Bryan Greenberg plays a small yet fun role in Emily in Paris Season 5.

And before you guess that Jake's another love interest for Emily, let's break that for you. Turns out he's just a fellow American living in Paris. Jake works at the U.S Embassy, and he meets Emily at a club, and that too during a Friends trivia night. Yes, they do get along well, but Emily isn't up for a relationship (although we do see potential). It's quite safe to say that Jake's one of the best companions that Emily's had in Paris. He helps Emily feel a little less homesick. He respects her boundaries, cares for her, and even takes her on a full-on American junk food tour. Somewhere over bonding with Jake, Emily realizes that she's been too harsh with Mindy, and she apologizes to her. Yes, the besties get back together. In the end, the L'Oréal Paris campaign is a success too, as Emily shares with Sylvie that,

"Friendships are the relationships that last."

And Sylvia shares it with the brand that approves of the idea. Finally, the besties are back together. This would not have been possible if Jake hadn’t helped Emily realize that there are small things in Paris that make people like them feel a little less homesick, and for Emily, that comfort is Mindy.

Here's more about Bryan Greenberg's role as Jake Campbell in Emily in Paris Season 5.
