The Last Frontier with a distinct shade of thrill that gets the viewers hooked from the get-go. Right after the trailer of the series was released, the anticipation for the series began to rise. Now with two episodes of the series out, the plot just keeps on thickening. Though the main focus of the series is on Jason Clarke’s character, Frank Remnick, Johnny Knoxville definitely grabs the attention whenever he is on screen.

Best known for his stunt comedy show, Jackass, Johnny Knoxville’s appearance in The Last Frontier definitely is quite the change of scenery for him. Unlike the usual humor-filled TV projects that he usually takes on, this series is definitely far from it. In The Last Frontier, Johnny Knoxville takes on the role of a fugitive, S.T. Covington.

He is one of the prisoners sitting on the plane before the plane crashes. It can be understood that his character is also a dangerous criminal. In the first episode, we see that after the crash, the criminals who survived begin to run away.

Amongst these runaway criminals, Johnny Knoxville’s S.T. Covington is also present. The main focus of the first episode is on Frank Remnick's understanding of the situation with the criminals. After the plane crashes, he reaches the location to find that some criminals have already run away. Soon, his team is attacked by a group of criminals.

The criminals attack one of his teammates, heavily injuring him in the process. In the end, he is able to safely rescue his teammate and use the chopper to move him to the hospital, but the damage is already done. The criminals are nowhere to be found.

Soon, the search begins. Frank Remnick is being helped by the CIA agent, Sidney Scofield. However, Sidney Scofield comes with many secrets that are yet to be revealed. The Last Frontier is ten episodes, hence, much of the storyline of Johnny Knoxville’s character is yet to be unfolded.

Johnny Knoxville’s career is marked with success. Since his entry into the world of entertainment, he has done many projects. He has multiple movies and TV shows under his belt. His acting career began with appearing in commercials. His breakthrough in the industry arrived with Jackass. After the success of Jackass, there was no holding him back.

It is truly intriguing to see a man who we have usually seen working on joyful projects now playing a serious criminal. It brings forth a layer of unexpected intensity.
