Alien: Earth brings back the fun and thrills of the beloved Alien movies franchise to the small screen. The sci-fi horror series created by Noah Hawley is the first television show to be a part of the movie franchise.

Featuring Sydney Chandler, Alex Lawther, Essie Davis, and others, Alien: Earth is set two years before the events of the 1979 movie starring Sigourney Weaver and is set in an alternate timeline. Ridley Scott is an executive producer of the show and it premiered on August 12, 2025.

Alien: Earth is about Wendy (Chandler), who is the first hybrid. She has a synthetic body but a human consciousness. When a space vessel called Maginot crash-lands on Earth, Wendy and a group of soldiers must investigate and soon discover a dangerous species that can destroy humans.

Alien: Earth has received positive reviews for its direction, visuals, and plot, and while the show has an ensemble cast, Nibs is an important character in the series. Played by Lily Newmark, Nibs is also a hybrid and below are the details about the character arc of Nibs on Alien: Earth.

Like Wendy, Nibs is also a hybrid and is a part of the “Lost Boys” project. The project was started by Prodigy Corporation where they created six hybrid prototypes from terminally ill children. And to answer the question, Nibs’ life hangs in the balance at the end of Episode 7.

Alien: Earth has eight episodes in its first season and the seventh episode was full of twists and turns. Before the final episode airs on September 23, 2025, here’s a quick recap of the seventh episode and how it determines Nibs’ fate.

Alien: Earth Episode 7 mostly takes place in the surrounding jungle of the Prodigy facility. Viewers see Wendy, Joe, and Nibs trying to escape the island as they now know that the company is tracking all the hybrids. The three have to fight through a bunch of soldiers but they finally make it with the help of Wendy’s Xenomorph friend and reach the shore, where a boat is waiting.

However, when Joe opens the door of the boat, other soldiers like Siberian and Rashidi are waiting with guns. The trio therefore have no room to escape. Nibs tries to fight back and the soldiers toss her beloved toy, Mr. Strawberry into the sea. A deadly fight breaks out and when Nibs is about to kill Hermit’s friend Siberian, Hermit decides to stun Nibs with the same blue electricity that Morrow used to stun the Xenomorph a few episodes back.

Nibs has therefore been left in a treacherous condition as she also has two bullet wounds and has been electrocuted. Viewers last see Nibs twitching and having her eyes half open as she lies on the ground.

Even though Nibs is a hybrid and will most likely survive the bullet wounds, it remains to be seen if the heavy dose of electricity that she has been given will have an adverse effect upon her. The electric weapon has been used in the past on a Xenomorph and it has been used to subdue rather than kill. While Nibs is not a Xenomorph, the weapon had a powerful effect on her and viewers will ultimately have to watch the finale episode of Alien: Earth to find out Nibs’ fate.

Alex Lawther tells Decider that Hermit has ultimately revealed to Wendy and the others that he does not consider a hybrid’s life worth saving and there is a “hierarchy that he’s placed everyone on” as he decides to save Siberian’s life over that of a hybrid like Nibs. The actor continues to mention that when he first sees Wendy with her synthetics, he is “kind of repelled by anything that isn’t’ human”.

According to Screen Rant, the season finale of the show will focus on Boy Kavalier’s experiment of putting the “eye alien” into a human or a synthetic as he always wanted to talk to an intelligent creature. Further, viewers will have to keep an eye on Kirsh, as he could create some chaos. Ultimately, Wendy’s fate will also be decided as she is saddened by Nibs being shot and will have to decide whether she wants to leave Neverland or not.
