9-1-1 Season 8 finale: Is Ryan Guzman leaving? Details explored

The finale of season 8 of 9-1-1 began with the 118 giving a farewell party to Eddie as he was on his way back to El Paso due to a recent firefighter job opening. But later, as we see him packing to leave, he sees Athena and his old team trying to save people from the rubble of a collapsed building.

Without thinking twice, Eddie, donning his 118 uniform that his colleagues had gifted him, reached the location to help out. With the other members, Guzman’s Eddie helped in saving many of the residents of the building. After dealing with the emergency, as the team comes back to the station, Chimney gives a speech which included Eddie’s future as he tells him, nobody is going to Texas.

Chimney’s speech and later the ending scenes of Eddie and Christopher settling down in their old apartment have now squashed all the speculations of Guzman leaving Los Angeles and 118. This new development also got fans excited about Eddie and Buck’s future as at the end Buck, who was also trying to go to a different firehouse, ended up staying at 118.
