Twisted Metal Season 2 wrapped up after 12 episodes on August 28, 2025, and the finale was nothing short of a blast. This season has already seen more action and an adrenaline-pumping narrative than the previous one, and the finale did absolute justice to it.
One of the key highlights of Twisted Metal Season 2 was Calypso’s Twisted Metal race, and that brought Sweet Tooth, one of the most infamous outsiders in the decaying world of the series, face-to-face with a worthy opponent.
In the Twisted Metal race, Sweet Tooth gets to unleash his unhinged violence without any second thoughts. While he enjoys it to the fullest, his encounter with Minion, one of the creations of Calypso, brings him down badly, though he does survive as the post-credit scenes show.
Sweet Tooth does not die in Twisted Metal
One of the most violent characters in the series, Sweet Tooth, is someone who has always killed without hesitation and has stood undisputed. A serial killer with a half-damaged mask of a clown, Sweet Tooth had been a threat to everyone, and since no one could really stop him, his power only kept growing.
However, he gets his first beating in the final leg of the Twisted Metal race. He is confronted by Minion, someone who finally matches up to his physical strength. Before this, anyone that Sweet Tooth had faced did not have any advantage over him and was bound to be doomed.
However, with Minion, it becomes clear that Sweet Tooth does not have much hope. Minion beats him black and blue, and while he tries to fight back, he really cannot make any impact on the metallic body that Minion holds. Eventually, Sweet Tooth fails to keep up, and it is shown that he is lying as a dead man in his own pool of blood.
Although the shot from that point seemed to indicate that this was the end of Sweet Tooth, post-credit scenes confirmed that it was not the case.
In the post-credits, Sweet Tooth was shown to be returning in all his glory. Even better, he mentioned that lying unconscious actually gave him a good sleep, which means he is fresher and stronger.
Not only did Sweet Tooth survive someone as violent as the Minion in this season, but he was also taken to his father, Pope Charlie Kane, which again offered some more insight into his life. If Peacock renews the show for new seasons, it would be interesting to see Sweet Tooth’s character explored in more detail.
Twisted Metal can be streamed on Peacock.
