Wednesday Season 2 Part 2 rolled out on September 3, 2025, on Netflix. Part 1 had ended with Wednesday and Tyler's tense confrontation in the Willow Hills psychiatric hospital. Wednesday plummeted out of the window, while Tyler Galpin escaped. Fans were left elated with the few seconds of their quiet confrontation.
Many assumed that both Wednesday and Tyler still had feelings for each other. In Part 2, they confronted each other several times, and their rivalry was quite evident. Surprisingly, it ended with her freeing Tyler from Franciose and Issac's evil trap, who wanted to take out Tyler's Hyde powers using Pugsley's energy.
Feeling betrayed, Tyler asked her to end his life, but she did not. Whether it was Wednesday's tactic to save her brother, Pugsley, or whether she was really trying to save Tyler remains a mystery. But one thing is sure, every time Wednesday and Tyler came on screen, there was a constant tension between them.

Fans speculate a potential Tyler and Wednesday romance in Season 3
The rivalry between Tyler and Wednesday is undeniable, and so is the constant tension between the two. In fact, they had ample chances to tear each other down this season, but did not. It almost felt like each time they confronted each other, their old memories and feelings stopped them from killing each other. Here's what the fans have speculated so far.
A Reddit user pointed out some Tyler and Wednesday moments that tease a potential romance in the upcoming season:
" One of these being when Wednesday chose to not kill Tyler, There was also a scene where Principle Weems made Wednesday realise that she had 'feelings' for Tyler which was specifically implied as hate but we all know the underlying message here, or am I just putting too much thought into this dark romance expectation? I am really expecting something small in next season that creates atleast some sort of initiation or creates a moment atleast between Tyler and Wednesday."
While some viewers agreed with this notion, others did not; they gave examples of Wednesday's burial sequence when Tyler did not do anything to save her.
On X, @LittleAngel28k pointed out their confrontation in the season finale and wrote,
"DUDE HER SOFT TONE I missed” Tyler looking at her eyes and telling her to end him, then we see Wednesday take a long pause hesitation because she cares, what Weems said was true “she has feelings for him” wed doesn’t hate Tyler, she loves him"
While @lupainthenorth wrote,
"We both know i'm who you really want" oh but the change in tyler's demeanor from aggressiveness to hesitant shock when wednesday admitted out loud she had feelings for him????"
Wednesday Season 2: Decoding Tyler and Wednesday's moments
All of Wednesday and Tyler's confrontations were quite chaotic. Right from their Willow Hill confrontation, their equation remained a mystery until the very end of the season. After she literally snapped out of a coma, she saw Tyler in the hospital. She made it a point to track him down and planned to take control of him since Tyler's former master, Marilyn Thornhill, was killed.
Wednesday, Enid and the Nightshades were ready to pounce on Tyler, but their plan failed as Francoise Galpin interrupted as a hyde and saved him. Morticia was furious, and she revealed that she had made a deal with Francoise to let her control her son, Tyler, and, in return, they promised to leave Jericho.
What stands out in this interaction is her assuring Tyler that she was attracted to him. Now, this might be just a trap to lure in Tyler, but at one point, it felt like a genuine confession. Although the rivalry was still present as she raised her syringe and said,
"Say hello to your new master."
In Season 2 Episode 6, they met again, and this time their confrontation happened in Willow Hills Psychiatric Hospital, but with a little twist. This time, Enid and Wednesday switched bodies. Wednesday, now in Enid's body, wolfed out when Tyler attacked her friends. She was on the verge of killing Tyler, but Enid insisted on leaving the facility, as it was already malfunctioning.
Their final confrontation in the season finale sort of teased a potential romance between the two in the upcoming season. Instead of axing him down, she freed him. It almost felt like she empathized with Tyler's situation and let him go.
Speaking to ScreenRant, Wednesday Season 2 co-creator Miles Millar shared some exciting news for Wyler fans. Millar said,
"They have chemistry, and Tyler speaks to it and calls her out on it. I think there's something there. On Tyler's side, he definitely holds a flame for Wednesday, and he doesn't let her forget that. And those actors, Hunter and Jenna, have incredible chemistry together, so we love those scenes."
Whether there will be a budding romance between the two or not remains a mystery, but there might be lots of emotional confrontations in Season 3.
