"It was so awkward": Sister Wives star Meri reacts to tense encounter with Kody and Robyn during the Coyote Pass meeting

Sister Wives Season 20 Episode 9 is scheduled to release on November 23, 2025. Before the episode's release, TLC aired a sneak peek for the upcoming episode.

It featured the finalized deal for the Coyote Pass property. The meeting included Justin, Kody, Robyn, Meri, and Janelle, and it took place at their said land.

After they double-checked the documents, Justin left. Seeing Kody and Robyn leaving without saying hi or bye, Meri and Janelle felt that it was super awkward. Seeing Kody and Robyn leave, Meri told Janelle:

"It was super awkward. It was so awkward."

Sister Wives Season 20 Episode 9: Meri and Janelle meet Kody and Robyn for the Coyote Pass land deal

The sneak peek for the upcoming Sister Wives Season 20 Episode 9 showed a meeting between Kody, Robyn, Meri, and Janelle. The four were at the Coyote Pass property with the realtor, Justin.

Fans must remember, there had been many issues related to the selling of the property. After they all agreed to sell it, Kody received many offers. Later, when he got a serious offer from Justin, he shared the news with Meri and Janelle. However, they had their doubts regarding the offer at first.

The sneak peek for tonight's episode showed the meeting regarding the said Coyote Pass property deal.

"We're ready to go. I had some stuff just to go over with you guys, just to...as far as making sure it's spelled right and all the deeds are in sequence and ready to go," said Justin.

Listening to him about the final offer and moving forward with the deal, Janelle shared:

"The money would go towards my new project. Good. Came at a good time."

Sister Wives' Meri was standing beside her while Kody and Robyn were on their opposite side. Justin then called them to show the documents to double-check. Janelle. along with Kody and Robyn, came closer to look at the documents. However, Meri kept her distance and overlooked things from far away.

"Everything's been printed out, numbers as agreed upon are over here. Yeah. I just want to make sure everybody's...on the same page," added Justin.

He then went to show the documents to Meri and Janelle, away from Kody and Robyn. Sister Wives star Janelle noted that she wanted to double-check "just because." Justin agreed with her while Robyn and Kody looked at each other.

"Alright, I'm glad it's done. Glad it's finally done," shared Janelle.

Soon, Justin said goodbye to everyone and left. Kody and Robyn also left, without saying anything to Janelle or Meri. In her private confessional, Sister Wives star Meri noted that Kody and Robyn didn't say hi or bye.

"I think Robyn felt like she was gonna be persecuted or attacked or something, and I'm like, No, we're gonna be adults here. But, whatever," confessed Janelle.

After Kody and Robyn noted, Meri and Janelle talked about how awkward the situation was.

"It was awkward. I didn't think it'd be this awkward. But it was pretty awkward," replied Janelle.

Sister Wives star Meri noted that Robyn and Kody didn't know what to do or how to have a normal conversation. Robyn, in her private confessional, talked about not endorsing fakeness. She didn't want to pretend that everything was okay when it was not okay.
