Created by Rob McElhenney, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, is a sitcom featuring Charlie Day, Danny DeVito, Kaitlin Olson, and others. The show has 17 seasons till now and has been airing since 2005.
Known for its subversive humor and dark satire, the unique comedy series, turns all the tropes of a sitcom on its head. It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia focuses on a group of narcissistic and sociopathic friends, who run an Irish dive bar called Paddy’s Pub in South Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
The show has characters like Charlie, Mac, Dennis, and others, who do nothing but drink, scheme, and argue. They also plot elaborate plans to con each other and the show deals with some heavy themes in a surrealist and subversive manner as well.

The episode revolves around the gang hosting a dinner party and testing out their likeability. However, fans of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia know that even a simple premise like this can get wild and shocking. The episode is self-contained where the gang is in one location most of the time. Therefore, each character shines and showcases their quirks.
The episode is titled, “The Gang Gets Ready for Prime Time”, and even though Frank is not there in the episode, it is a laughter riot. As the gang gets together for the dinner, everyone shows their best and worst aspect. Charlie takes a unique approach to the dinner and does many physical changes that allow for shock and physical comedy. Sweet Dee also tries to get people to laugh at her, but her awkward attempts are more comedic.
Mac does a bad boy act in this episode of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, where he does a lot of backflips which are hilarious and entertaining. When Artemis and the Waitress enter for a photo, the competition for the crowd’s attention also get more intense and adds comedy. The best part of the episode is Dennis.

Glenn Howerton really shows off his acting prowess as Dennis. While the episode is about the gang, Dennis becomes the self-assigned leader of the group. He tries to control how others view him, but it just gets worse. As Dennis tries to appear youthful, it gets even more comedic as he comes up with face tape and makeup.
The episode therefore has a number of physical comedy moments. The highlight is Dennis’ monologue, which is desperate and therefore, hilarious. Ultimately, Dennis has a crash out and it is revealed that Frank hired actors to be his family.
