"It's like he could have a whole another family": Married to Medicine star Toya reacts to Eugene not working far from his family

Married to Medicine Season 12 is set to premiere on November 30, 2025. Before the show's premiere, a sneak peek featuring Toya Bush Harris with her husband and sons was released.

The latest season of the show will feature Dr. Simone Whitmore, Dr. Jackie Walters, Toya Bush Harris, Quad Webb, Dr. Contessa Metcalfe, and Dr. Mimi Sanders as the leading cast.

In the sneak peek, Married to Medicine star Toya talked about how much her husband was absent from their home. It was because of his work. She joked about him having a different family while living in a hotel:

"It's like he could have a whole another family, if he wanted to. 'Coz he would give equal time to both."

The latest Married to Medicine Season 12 sneak peek featured Toya Bush Harris and Eugene Harris. The two talked about his long-distance work and the timings.

She was not happy about him being away from their home and their sons. The two had a conversation about the same. Soon, their sons, Ashton and Avery, also arrived in the kitchen.

"So how is work? Which one you were at...the one that's five hours away or the one's two and a half hour away?" she asked.

Eugene noted that it was two and a half hours' work.

While she talked about his work, their sons were also in the kitchen. One of them was getting the trash out of the bean. She told him to take a few things with it. Married to Medicine star mentioned that she had to teach him how to pack the trash, because their father was five hours away for his job.

"Trash and all that needs to go out. Put that bag inside that bag, and then you carry one bag out of here. Now, I gotta teach people how to do trash 'coz their daddy be five hours away," she said.

Eugene noted that he was not an absentee father. He also told her that he didn't live or work on the West Coast, but was still in Georgia. His wife responded that he was not there, and he also didn't spend the nights at home.

While in the kitchen, she asked their sons a question:

"Do you guys feel there is a significant difference now that your dad is traveling?"

Ashton, 15, answered "not really." Seeing him responding quickly, Toya told him that she was about to teach him something about women.

"We don't want you to answer before we finish the question. Yeah, 'coz we feel like you don't really listen. Do you hear that? Okay. Do y'all see any difference?"

Ashton's answer was still the same: "Not really."

Later, in their joint confessional, the two shared more about Eugene's current work schedule and how far he had to live for that. He revealed that for the past six months, he had not worked locally. His wife noted that he was gone a lot more.

Soon, he talked about living in a hotel room. Married to Medicine star Toya made a joke that he could have another family there.

"I don't think I'll ever make enough money to have two of these families," reacted Eugene.

Both of them laughed. He told her to focus on the days he was not working, rather than on the days he was working.
