When the Tournament of Champions host faced the question regarding his favorite seasoning/ spice, he said it would sound "crazy." It was because Guy Fieri's favorite seasoning is salt. Sharing types of salt, where to use them, and when to use which salt, he shared:

"This is going to sound crazy, but it's salt. Salt is the most misused and misunderstood seasoning out there. To start with, not all salt is created equal. Iodized table salt is super, well, salty. Kosher salt has a larger grain and a more subtle taste."

Tournament of Champions fans must know Guy Fieri, who has also been part of various culinary shows, including Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. He has been hosting a variety of Food Network shows, and more.

During his recent interview with The Kitchn, Guy Fieri shared that his favorite seasoning was salt. At the risk of sounding "crazy," he further shared that it was the most "misused" and "misunderstood" seasoning.

He mentioned various types of salt, including Iodized table salt, Kosher salt, Maldon salt, and more.

"There's Maldon salt, an artisanal brand of sea salt crystals, that's much softer, less bitter, and also more expensive. So you not only need to be conscious of how much salt your dish needs, but you also need to be aware of what salt you’re using. Great cooking is all about balance, and it starts with salt," he added.

Further, Guy stated that his fridge is stocked with sauces and condiments. He mentioned gochujang, soy sauce, fresh wasabi, chili crunch, and Donkey Sauce.

He also faced a question regarding the Tournament of Champions. Fans must be aware of the randomizer on the show, which decides the ingredients and equipment that chefs are supposed to use. when asked about one ingredient that Guy would not want on Tournament of Champions, if he were to participate and cook, he said: Beef liver.

The reason was that he is not a "beef liver guy." He mentioned his mother used to make it, and many people "love" it. However, it was not the case with him.

"I don't believe we've ever seen beef liver get used. It might have been on the wheel, you know, on the randomizer, but I don’t think it’s ever been used," he added.

Guy mentioned that he didn't know that beef liver offered "that many" great opportunities. He also talked about having a menu while spending time with his family and friends, and enjoying food.
