She is a 13-year-old girl living in Derry in the early 1960s, who is quiet, sensitive, and mostly burdened by grief and pain in her life. Unlike cheerful kids, Lilly lacks confidence, and this is what Pennywise likes about her.
As for her appearance, Lilly can be seen wearing modest and old-fashioned clothes, which tells a lot about her personality. She also wears a charm bracelet, given by her close friend Matty Clements.
One of the turning points in Lilly's life is the death of her father. He was killed while working in a factory, and on the same day, Lilly left her mood ring there. Later, she's institutionalized at Juniper Hill to recover from the trauma and pain.
