Prime Video's popular romantic drama, The Summer I Turned Pretty, starring Lola Tung and Jackie Chung, is coming to an end.

The third and final season of the series premiered on July 16, 2025. Four episodes of The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 are out, and well, it's not less than a rollercoaster of emotions.

With fans still divided between Team Jeremiah and Team Conrad, Belly and Jeremiah's engagement, followed by marriage plans, came as a sudden jolt. Laurel, Belly's mom, isn't too elated about the arrangement because she feels Belly's too young to get married. And guess what? She even warns that she might avoid Belly's marriage.

In a latest chit-chat with The Hollywood Reporter, Jackie Chung, who plays Laurel, Belly's mother in The Summer I Turned Pretty, teased what might happen in the finale episodes. Will Belly get married to Jeremiah, or will she choose Conrad over Jeremiah?

Here's what Chung has to say about it.

Jackie Chung teases what's next in The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3, addresses online hate, and more

In the conversation with The Hollywood Reporter, when Chung was asked about whether she knew who her onscreen daughter, Belly, might choose in the finale, she said,

"I don’t. I’m just gonna be watching"

Seems like Chung's in no mood to give away any spoilers. However, when Chung was asked about what to expect in the upcoming episodes of The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3, she hinted at more surprises and promised a rollercoaster of emotions. She said,

"They’re (fans) in for more of the roller coaster that they’ve already gotten on with the first four episodes, and I hope they just love watching it. I just hope they have a really good time. I feel like Jenny [Han, creator,] knows her fans, and so I think some of the things that they’re looking for will be there, and then there’ll be other surprises, and so I just hope that they enjoy it and get what they want out of it."

On the other hand, when asked about whether she would be interested in a spin-off show based on the parents, she said,

"Yeah, I would. I love Laurel, and I would definitely be open if Jenny had some grand plan for something else."

As of now, there's no confirmed spin-off of The Summer I Turned Pretty yet. The conversation ended with Jackie Chung urging fans not to bully or spread hate against any character, cast, or crew. She explained how they are just actors dedicated to their crafts and simply following the scripts.
