Jeremy Renner addresses the possibility of Hawkeye Season 2; says he’ll "always dance with Marvel”

The possibility of seeing Jeremy Renner in Hawkeye Season 2 is now getting more and more intriguing. Jeremy Renner truly depicted that he is indeed a superhero after coming back stronger from the fatal accident. The accident, which almost took Renner’s life while he was trying to check on his nephew, was almost crushed by the snowplough. However, after incessant treatments and a recovery journey, he is getting back on track and has some interesting news about Season 2 of the series.

In a recent interview with Popverse, Jeremy Renner spoke up about his eagerness to appear in Hawkeye Season 2. He said that he will “always dance with Marvel”, especially when it is “appropriate” and “rocking”. It cannot be denied that the news of Jeremy Renner getting the offer of half his fee for Season 2 took the internet by storm.

After the snowplough incident, Renner revealed that he would not be taking part in Season 2 if his fee was reduced to half the amount he got in the previous season. The actor raised his voice regarding this, which was also supported by his fans. So, now his words definitely indicate that there is a possibility for Hawkeye Season 2.

He also mentions that he is preparing to get his body “right and getting everything right for that”. There is no doubt that Hawkeye’s character is definitely a difficult one. The stunts and the flexibility that the actor needs to show to bring Hawkeye’s character to life definitely require intense preparation. Hence, after the major accident, Jeremy Renner is required to get ample time to get back to his previous fitness to take on the role of Barton.

When Jeremy Renner was offered the lesser pay, he refused to be a part of Hawkeye Season 2; however, now his indications are definitely pointing towards a positive direction. Though he is happy that he did not join Hawkeye Season 2 with the lesser pay and focused on his recovery, he is hopeful about the future of the show.

At the end of the first season, we see Barton finally able to accept his past and present, and he also has a stable sense of self. He understands that he is also a hero, with people often looking up to him, especially Kate.

Now that Barton has accepted it all and is finally ready to move on, it would be intriguing to see how Season 2 navigates through Barton’s journey. Kate is now Hawkeye, and taking on the heavy mantle of a protector is definitely not an easy task. So, we can expect her to fully embody her role as the hero in Hawkeye Season 2.

If Jeremy Renner truly returns as Barton in Season 2, it would truly be a triumphant return. Though there is no official statement, we can definitely be hopeful that Hawkeye Season 2 might happen soon. Barton’s story has immense potential to carry forward. Even Jeremy Renner himself admitted that there is more to it.

Though Barton does not possess any superhero skills, his grit and determination, with the skills of a fine marksman, make him a superhero in the true sense. There is a distinct authenticity that makes us look up to his character. No wonder Jeremy Renner has become such a fan favorite actor.
