Paramount+'s Mayor of Kingstown set to premiere with Season 4 on October 26

The Paramount+ crime thriller, Mayor of Kingstown Season 4, is set to bring new players and new challenges for Renner's Mike as he teeters on the edge of his control over the town. As he tries to keep the peace between all the factions and grapple with a new warden, the lives of the people he loves are in danger.

Mayor of Kingstown Season 3 wrapped up with Mike struggling with his morality after the many deaths and his brother's arrest for attempted murder. In Season 4, Mike will try to protect those who are close to him, even the ones in prison.

However, there is a roadblock in the form of the newest prison warden in Anchor Bay. Nina Hobbs, played by Edie Falco, is the latest addition to the cast and is starting off with an explosive stance against Mike. Falco was previously seen in projects such as Nurse Jackie and The Sopranos.

While Mike struggles to protect his brother, an all-out gang war is on the verge of breaking out. After the Season 3 ending, where Mike destabilized the Russians at the base, a power vacuum has been created. New challenges in the form of new players are arriving to fill that vacuum.

On that note, apart from Falco's Hobbs, there are a few more additions to the Mayor of Kingstown cast. Lennie James, also seen in The Walking Dead, will be taking up the character of Frank Moses, a well-respected gangster who has many connections to Kingstown's criminal underbelly. To make things even more exciting, Moses' character is inspired by a real-life gangster who was never arrested.

Additionally, The Gilded Age's Laura Benanti will also be joining as Cindy Stephens, a single mother who needs her job to support her family. She is a corrections officer who has been recruited to Kingstown. Her character has also been inspired by a female correctional officer in real-life Kingston.

Along with Jeremy Renner's Mike McLusky, Hugh Dillon is returning as Oan Ferguson. Additionally, Taylor Handley is also reprising his role as Mike's brother, Kyle McLusty, now imprisoned. They will be joined by Tobi Bamtefa as Deverin "Bunny" Washington.

The fact that a lot of the characters in Mayor of Kingstown are based on real people, most of whom are just trying to make a difference, makes this setup even more exciting for Season 4.
