Jimmy Fallon reveals his "favorite" Stranger Things character (& it's not Eleven)

Noah Schnapp appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon after the release of Stranger Things season 5 part 1 on November 26, 2025.

He talked about his character, Will, and the big reveal in episode 4 of the season. The goosebumps have still not eased for Noah, just like every other Stranger Things fan.

Jimmy Fallon watched episode 4 after much hype with his daughter the night before he invited the actor to his show. While reacting to the major big reveal, Jimmy Fallon revealed his favourite character in Stranger Things in this interview. It is none other than Will Byers, played by Noah Schnapp himself.

"I see you as Will, but I see you as Noah too because I love you and I don't want him to go." Jimmy expressed in the interview.

Will Byers is Jimmy Fallon's favorite Stranger Things character

Fallon was clearly excited:

"There's a giant battle going on with demogorgons, okay, and it looks like they are going to win. And honestly, I got to tell you, I watched it last night, and I am watching it with my daughter. We were caught up to three, we didnt watch the fourth one, and everyone's like, you gotta watch the fourth one. Haven't you seen the fourth? You're gonna freak out."

While watching Stranger Things season 5 episode 4, he grew worried and was almost convinced that Will Byers would die and that he would lose his favourite character. But what the makers did with the ultimate twist blew his mind.

"I thought you were going to die. I felt sad, yeah. I was like Oh my god, this can't happen, he is my favourite, I love him. ......And I already told my kids how great you are, as a person. I go, we love him. It's happening, and you are struggling."

He further added his reaction to the big reveal:

"It looks like demogorgons are about to win, but we found out Will has powers."

Even Noah Schnapp initially wasn't excited about the season, as he thought it would be another season of his character being just scared about what was unfolding around him. But the climax truly surprised him.

"I remember reading that, I remember people texting me before the script dropped, and they were like,' You have to read the script.' I was like, okay, whatever, whatever, maybe it's another season of oh-oh, and I was like, it's fine, I will read it at the table read. Then more people started to text me, and I thought maybe I should read it before the table read. ..... I skim skim skim, and I get to the end of four, and it's you know that big reveal, and I was like " oh my God", I was living with my assistant Brooke at the time. I burst out of the shower at the time and was like Brooke, read the last page."
