Resident Evil production studio Constantin Film and After franchise producers Jennifer Gibgot and Andrew Panay will be taking on the much-anticipated project.
A TikTok sensation, The Ravenhood series has over the years acquired a large fan following. Thanks to the social media boost, it has sold over three million copies, including audiobooks. Stewart will be joining the new venture as the scriptwriter along with After We Collided screenwriter Mario Celaya.
What is The Ravenhood series about?
The modern-day romantic series is a take on the classic Robin Hood story. The trilogy revolves around Cecelia Horner, who encounters a group called Ravenhood in Triple Falls, North Carolina. The secretive group is anything like she had known before. As she gets more familiar with the members, she will uncover some shocking secrets. With its complex characters and steamy romance, the series brings forth themes ranging from love and revenge to thriller.
The original series comprises three books: Flock, Exodus, and The Finish Line. In the first book, Cecelia, who is trying to make a fresh start, takes a job at her estranged father’s company. She meets a man called Sean, who belongs to the Ravenhood. The members of the group all adorn raven tattoos.
As Cecelia learns about the group, she is left debating the morality and dangers associated with it. In the following books, Cecelia and Sean’s relationship goes through ups and downs in the backdrop of Ravenhood’s under-the-radar activities. She would also finally uncover the truth that connects the group and her own family.
Thanks to its success, more books followed under the wings of The Ravenhood Legacy. The first spinoff book, One Last Rainy Day: The Legacy of a Prince, was published in 2023. While Severed Heart will release on June 24, 2025, the next in the series, Birds Of A Feature is expected to release on December 16, 2025.
The Ravenhood series is published by Kensington Publishing in the U.S. and Pan Macmillan globally.
German indie studio Constantin Film acquired the rights for The Ravenhood series. The screen adaptation will also see the coming together of Resident Evil producer Robert Kulzer, After franchise producers from Offspring Entertainment Jennifer Gibgot and Andrew Panay, and screenwriter Celaya. Stewart will also be getting on board the project as an executive producer along with Nadine Christine Hamdan and Oliver Berben.
