Kathryn Hahn recently shared some exciting details about what fans may expect from The Studio Season 2 in an exclusive chat with Collider.

The actress plays Maya Mason, a chaotic and attractive figure working in the creative industry, in the series. In the recent interview, she was asked if her character would reference recent Internet trends. Answering this, she told Collider's Taylor Gates,

“I feel like by the time we see her - heaven forbid, I’m not wishing this on anyone - but the Labubu might be in the past. In terms of 6-7, it would be amazing if she started spouting that, although that might also be in the past, too, which is why both of these things should be uttered by her in Season 2.”

Hahn suggested that he can film in exciting locations outside of Hollywood, such as Venice and New York. Although she was unable to provide specific details about the plot or confirmed locations, her words already hint that The Studio's second season will expand the show's universe and further develop Maya's character in new and quite unexpected ways.

Will Maya reference internet trends in Season 2?

During the interview, Hahn was asked whether her character Maya would wear a Labubu or use the popular phrase "6-7," which became a trending topic online. Hahn explained that she hoped these trends would fade away quickly. She suggested this would make it perfect for Maya to use them in The Studio Season 2.

The reason is that the character often lags behind current culture despite trying to appear aware. Kathryn Hahn found the timing amusing because the character Maya is constantly attempting to set trends. The actress says the old references would be funny and suit Maya in season 2, making her more engaging.

Could The Studio season 2 film in Venice?

The filming of season 2 in Venice has brought excitement to both fans and the actress herself. Kathryn Hahn stated,

“Oh god, I wish there was anything I could tease. I know that he was spotted in Venice, and I know that my passport is up to date, so I’m willing to go anywhere. Both of those things sound really, really ripe, because we’ve only really seen them in Hollywoodland, so it would be very interesting to see."

She added,

"As you know, a member of the press, that you’ve got a lot of stuff to do - junkets and da da da da. There’s a lot of stuff, so who knows? I know nothing specifically, but that seems ripe for the next season."

She assured that she has a current passport and that her passport would not be an issue should she travel to the show. Kathryn Hahn thinks filming in Venice would offer interesting storytelling opportunities for The Studio Season 2.

Possibility of a Venice applause parody

Hahn was overjoyed at the prospect of an episode that is entirely applause-driven, inspired by the Venice Film Festival. She immediately agreed this would be absolutely hilarious to see on screen. She found it interesting how applause has become the main measure of success at these important film festivals.

Kathryn Hahn is confident that the second season of The Studio would fit in this type of comedy since the series already takes fun at creative industries. This type of scenario would fit perfectly with the show's concept, exposing Hollywood's spectacular and over-the-top actions.
