King of the Hill is returning to Hulu after a 16-year-long break, "several years after we last saw the Hill family," on August 4, with 10 brand new episodes. The animated series just released a special Father's Day teaser for fans to get us in the feels. The teaser features Hank's interactions with Bobby, revolving around the Father's Day theme.
The teaser comes as a first look at the Hill family and how they've changed and aged in the past few years, and the relationship between Hank and Bobby since the brand new credit sequence was revealed.
Brand new King of the Hill revival season teaser for fans
To celebrate Father's Day and to drum up even more excitement for the upcoming King of the Hill revival season on Hulu on August 4, we have a brand new teaser that follows Bobby and Hank and how their relationship has evolved over the past few years.
The new Father's Day promo features Hank with his deadpan humor as Bobby tries to convince his father that he has a professional career and can take over for him in cooking on the grill:
Bobby: "Let me know when you need me to take over, since I'm a professional now."
Hank: "You're a professional... comedian, if you think I'm gonna let you take over for ME."
The new teaser gives us a look at how much Bobby has changed in all these years and grown into an individual with a professional career, a much deeper voice, and a very different demeanor. The fact that this teaser was released on Father's Day makes it even more exciting, as we get to experience once again the father-son duo.
What makes this King of the Hill teaser even more exceptional is that this is the first time we actually get to see the characters in action, with the voiceovers as well, since we've only received the new opening sequence so far.
However, the King of the Hill opening sequence did reveal a lot about the characters and what they've been up to so far, including the fact that the Hill family moved to Saudi Arabia for Hank's work, and the show picks up after they come back to an entirely different Texas than the one they left.
King of the Hill is all set to make its streaming debut on August 4 with 10 brand new episodes, the best part being that Greg Daniels and Mike Judge, the original series creators, are returning and will be joined by Saladin K. Patterson as the showrunner.
