It’s been more than a decade since fans last heard Hank Hill talk about propane and propane accessories, but the wait is finally over. King of the Hill is officially back with a brand-new season, and it’s bringing a mix of familiar voices and fresh talent to Arlen, Texas.

After 15 years off the air, the Emmy-winning animated sitcom returns for its 14th season, this time on Hulu in the US and Disney+ in the UK. The revival doesn’t just pick up where it left off; it fast-forwards in time, aging up beloved characters and reflecting the real-world changes that have shaped animation and voice acting since the show’s heyday.

Whether you grew up quoting Bobby Hill’s “That’s my purse! I don’t know you!” or you’re just discovering this small-town gem for the first time, here’s your guide to every new and returning voice actor bringing Arlen’s quirky neighbors back to life.

This new season doesn’t just revisit the old neighborhood, but it gives it a refresh. Several characters who were once voiced by white actors have been recast to better match their cultural backgrounds, part of a wider industry shift toward more authentic representation in animation.

Stepping in as Joseph Gribble is Tai Leclaire, bringing fresh energy to Dale’s conspiracy-loving son. Meanwhile, Ki Hong Lee joins as Chane Wassanasong, Bobby’s competitive classmate. Kenneth Choi will now voice Ted Wassanasong, while Ronny Chieng lends his comedic touch to Kahn Souphanousinphone, one of the Hill family’s memorable neighbors.

King of the Hill Season 14 also introduces brand-new characters: Keith David voices Brian Robertson, and Anthony ‘Critic’ Campos appears as Emilio, adding new dynamics to Arlen’s tight-knit community. The blend of returning favorites and fresh voices promises to keep the show feeling both familiar and timely.

Of course, a King of the Hill revival wouldn’t be complete without its core cast. Mike Judge, the show’s creator, is back to voice the ever-dependable Hank Hill and the laid-back Boomhauer. Kathy Najimy reprises her role as Peggy Hill, Arlen’s proud substitute teacher and occasional Boggle champion.

Pamela Adlon returns as Bobby Hill, now an adult chef living in Dallas, ready to prove himself beyond his dad’s backyard. Stephen Root once again plays sad-sack neighbor Bill Dauterive, and Lauren Tom is back as both Connie and Minh Souphanousinphone.

The late Johnny Hardwick recorded lines for six episodes as the conspiracy-loving Dale Gribble before his passing in 2023. To finish out the season, Toby Huss, who voiced multiple characters in the original run, stepped in for Dale’s remaining scenes. Sadly, longtime fans will also feel the absence of Brittney Murphy and Tom Petty, who voiced Luanne and Lucky until their deaths before the revival began.

Despite these losses, the spirit of King of the Hill lives on through the returning cast and the next generation of voice talent, proving that good storytelling and good propane never go out of style.
