Fans of And Just Like That are in for a heartbreak as the show is officially coming to an end with its third season. The official synopsis of the show, as mentioned by Rotten Tomatoes, says,

“The new chapter of “Sex and the City” follows Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte as they navigate the journey from the complicated reality of life and friendship in their 30s to the even more complicated reality of life and friendship in their 50s.”

And Just Like That Season 3 consists of 12 episodes, which is the highest number of episodes that the show has ever had. As the series is drawing to an end, with only two more episodes left to air, the cast members of the show have also gotten emotional about their long association with the franchise.

And Just Like That cast members shared emotional goodbye posts on social media

Sex and the City has a long-running history with the original show airing for 6 seasons on HBO, that were followed by two films. And Just Like That came as a spin-off and also saw the success of the original projects. Despite the widespread success of the various shows and films of the franchise, the conclusion of And Just Like That marks the ending of the Sex and the City universe, as showrunner Michael Patrick King had said,

“The ongoing storytelling of the Sex And The City universe is coming to an end.”

The cast associated with the show is as heartbroken as fans with the show coming to an end, and Sarah Jessica Parker, who has played the role of Carrie Bradshaw throughout the show and films, took to Instagram to write how she feels. She made a post with a lengthy caption that only captured how she was feeling, but also honored the show and the bonding that the key characters have shared over the years.

Talking about her friends in the show, Parker wrote,

“Miranda, Samantha and Charlotte, there will never be better friends and what great fortune for Carrie to come to know and love Seema and LTW, most divine new connections. Carrie Bradshaw has dominated my professional heartbeat for 27 years. I think I have loved her most of all.”

Her emotions were echoed in Cynthia Nixon’s Instagram post as she said,

“I can't believe our wild beautiful And Just Like That ride is almost over. It has been such a delight from start to finish. I will miss working with these people everyday SO incredibly much but know we will always be a part of each other's lives.”

With the cast getting so emotional and Nixon hinting at a finale full of surprises, a bittersweet goodbye is in store for the fans.

And Just Like That can be streamed on HBO Max.
