Land of Sin Episode 2 is titled Unidentified Man #1. It dropped on January 2, 2026.

In this Episode, new evidence pops up, dragging old secrets into the light while the investigation spirals in a dozen messy directions, none of them good. As things heat up around Silas’s murder, detective Dani Anttila finds herself tangled even deeper in family lies, drug money, and blackmail. The more she digs, the darker it gets.

Dani and Malik comb through phone records and talk to witnesses. Along the way, they stumble onto a shadowy guy everyone calls “UM 1,” Unidentified Male 1, who argued with Silas just before he died. Their search drags them out into the Swedish countryside, then into Malmö’s gritty underworld, where they run into thugs, people caught up in blackmail, and drug dens.

Land of Sin Episode 2 dives right into the Duncke family drama. There’s a nasty fight over land, and then, out of nowhere, a third brother shows up in the story, the one who walked out years back and left everyone to pick up the pieces. As Dani gets more tangled up in the case, the lines between her job and her personal life start to fade.

Her need to crack the case isn’t just about work anymore; it’s about her own family, and things hit way too close to home. The closer she gets, the more everything she thought she knew unravels, until one reveal turns the whole investigation from just another case into Dani’s worst nightmare.

Land of Sin Episode 2 adds to the mystery of Silas’s death and the emotional faults within the Duncke family.

The episode begins with a peaceful view as Elis spends time with his son, Harald, on their farm. That tranquility is soon shattered by a flashback of Social Services telling Dani that Silas needs to go back to his biological parents. Boel has requested him back, and the authorities feel the two, Silas and Oliver, are influencing one another in a bad manner after being caught shoplifting and failing drug tests. The decision continues to plague Dani today, when the investigation begins to close in on her own son.

Back in the present day, tensions flare over a disputed piece of land behind Elis’ farm. Boel and Elis are wrangling over ownership, even though it was Ivar who filed the suit. Elis claims that he can take care of the situation himself and wishes Boel to leave it.

Meanwhile, Ivar attempts to maintain the peace, believing in his brother and not letting the conflict divide the family. Boel lacks such restraint and pours her anger on her younger son, Kimmen, who complains that Elis and her family are a liability.

Dani tries to interrogate Kimmen but is interrupted by an overprotective Elis. Then her focus turns to a disturbing fact: Silas’s bracelet is missing. Later, in Land of Sin Episode 2, a witness comes forward with a valuable tip, saying he had seen Silas quarrelling with an unknown man after getting out of a car at the seashore. The soil on the body of Silas is similar to that of the shoreline, and this is a strong indication that this was the place of the fatal encounter.

When Oliver eventually picks up Dani’s call, he questions whether she has located Silas. Dani tells him the truth, that Silas died. Oliver puts down the phone in disbelief and starts frantically looking for his drugs before lashing out at other addicts. His response looks like guilt more than grief.

Meanwhile, as the investigation is ongoing in Land of Sin Episode 2, Malik and Dani examine the phone records of Silas and discover two anomalies. One is the unknown male with the label UM 1, who had quarreled with Silas over money. The other is Rene, a former delinquent who has been employed in the same detention facility that Silas had been in. Rene claims that his phone is shared by several individuals, but Malik is not convinced.

In the detention facility, Dani attempts to extract information from the girls. The majority are unwilling to interact, yet Nathalie addresses her, although she lies, saying that she does not know Silas. Further suspicions arise when Dani finds a carving on the forearm of Nathalie that Silas had. Malik eventually acknowledges that he suspects that Rene has something to hide, and they agree to spy on Nathalie.

Their search leads them to the disputed land, a wet marsh referred to as Synden - Land of Sin. They happen to bump into Elis and Harald picking tadpoles there. Elis is still suspicious of Dani and advises her to quit investigating. Under pressure, he discloses the family secret that the family has a third brother, Ragnar, who left his duties many years ago but owes Elis his life after he once saved him in an accident.

In Land of Sin Episode 2, Elis also describes the inheritance scheme laid out by the will of their father. Ivar took the animals and the machinery, and Elis was left with the land, worthless to most, but that which he vows to leave to Harald. The discussion gets personal when Elis calls Dani a bad mother, which is clearly hurting her. When Dani takes off, Elis lies to his family and goes to the hospital, where it is revealed that the state of Harald is more dire than he makes it out to be.

Another significant development is when the police identify Kare, a neighborhood thug, threatening Nathalie. Dani confronts her, and Nathalie tells her the truth at last. Silas and his friend were indebted to Kare. To settle the debt, Silas had acquired incriminating videotapes of a blacksmith having s*x with underage boys and was blackmailing him. Nathalie merely relayed information, namely, that Silas was planning to meet his friend in Malmö. It is worth mentioning that both Dani and Oliver are from Malmö.

Dani chooses to disregard the procedural advice of Malik and rush to Malmö. Malik is concerned that they might be committing professional malpractice by taking action without support or a warrant, but Dani is desperate.

She trails Kare in the city when he bribes his way through the criminal underworld, claiming he’s hunting Silas’ killer. The final information Dani obtained in Land of Sin Episode 2, before Kare runs away, is shattering: UM 1 has taken shelter in a drug house.

Malik and Dani arrive at the drug house first. As Malik is interrogating the occupants, Dani is searching the space, and she discovers something that breaks her heart: Oliver’s belongings. Malik later confirms the truth moments later. Oliver is UM 1, the man who tried to fight with Silas over money just before his death.

Land of Sin Episode 2 closes with Malik attempting to console Dani when she is crushed by the reality of the revelation. She runs away crying, having to face the horrific thought that her own son could be connected to the killing of the boy she once tried to protect.

Land of Sin Episode 2 effectively builds on deception and emotional tension. The dispute over the land and the suspicious nature of Elis’s acts as red herrings themselves, whereas the criminal subplot about Kare and the blackmail plot continue to close around Oliver. Turning the investigation into a very personal crisis for Dani, Land of Sin turns a procedural mystery into a tragic family drama, a kind that leaves the truth still just out of reach.
