Land of Sin: Release date news, cast details, streaming details, and more about the upcoming Netflix crime drama

The Swedish murder mystery, Land of Sin, stars Krista Kosonen, Mohammed Nour Oklah, and Peter Gantman. Kosonen and Oklah will headline the series as they are the police officers assigned to the murder case in the Swedish countryside. Fans of mystery can catch the entire series in January 2026. If we believe the official logline of the five-part series, it is:

"Set in the Scanian countryside, this five-part series follows the investigation of a young teenager who is found dead on the Bjäre peninsula. Investigator Dani and her new partner Malik quickly uncover a violent family feud all while facing pressure from the family patriarch to solve the crime before he takes justice into his own hands."

When will Land of Sin be released?

All five episodes of Land of Sin will be available on Friday, January 02, 2026. While we don't know the release time, we may learn it soon as the release date approaches. Referred to as "Synden" in Swedish, the small footage released this month teases a dark murder of a teen caught in the middle of a family feud.

Officers Dani (Krista Kosonen) and Dani (Krista Kosonen) are on a race against time to solve this murder mystery before Patriarch Elis decides to solve the murder of the young man his way. Netflix revealed the first footage of the series, in which we see Dani arrive at the scene of the crime. We see the police trying to find the body of a dead teen in a waterbody. The caption accompanying the footage read:

"A young boy is found dead in rural southern Sweden. in their investigation, Dani and her new partner Malik begin uncovering ties between local families that run deeper than expected. Land of Sin premieres january 2 on netflix"

How to watch the Swedish thriller?

Considering Netflix announced the release date, we can access the thriller on the streaming giant's platform on January 02, 2025. Therefore, make sure that you are subscribed to Netflix before the miniseries releases in January. As of now, very little is known about the series, but director and creator Peter Grönlund teased this to Netflix:
