Landman Season 1 burst onto the scene as one of the most-discussed dramas on Paramount+, a neo-Western that takes place in the oil fields of West Texas and shows the mapping of personal ambition, family disputes, and the sometimes-cruel business of extracting wealth from the earth.

Here’s who shows up in Episode 10, and what’s going on with each of them:

Billy Bob Thornton plays Tommy Norris, the main guy. Landman Season 1 Episode 10 puts him through the wringer. He has to make a big choice: take a risk at M-Tex or play it safe. The cartel is closing in, and at one point, they kidnap and torture him.

Ali Larter is Angela Norris, Tommy’s ex-wife. Their past comes up again, and the two of them share some real, complicated moments, filled with both tension and connection.

Jacob Lofland plays Cooper Norris, their son. He is busy trying to merge small oil wells, hoping it will give him and his family a better shot in the business.

Michelle Randolph is Ainsley Norris, Tommy and Angela’s daughter. She gets a quieter storyline, spending time with her boyfriend, Ryder (Mitchell Slaggert). Their relationship gets a little more room to breathe.

James Jordan plays Dale Bradley, a petroleum engineer and Tommy’s close friend. After Tommy gets kidnapped, Dale is the one who helps get him out and pushes him to get help.

Mark Collie shows up as Sheriff Walt Joeberg, keeping an eye on things as the cartel threat grows. He is the law-and-order presence in Landman Season 1 Episode 10.

Demi Moore is Cami Miller, Monty’s wife and a major player at M-Tex. She and Tommy have some serious conversations about where the company is headed, especially since Monty is in surgery and everything feels up in the air.
