Fan-favorite Landman Season 2 returned on Paramount+ with episode 4 "Dancing Rainbows", and just as the title suggests, there are a lot of unexpected situations taking place. The fourth chapter begins with an accident involving an M-Tex truck and a man attempting suicide, leaving both men dead.

Rebecca hears about this tragedy while rushing onto a flight, but instead of dealing with it, the episode shifts her into a strange rom-com zone. She's too distracted and disturbed by what just happened, which leads her to sleep with Charlie Newsom. The timing feels uncomfortable, especially because she promised Walt she’d call back about the accident.

However, her actions aren't completely out of the blue. Rebecca has been doubting about her place in M-Tex, especially now that Monty is no more and even the company's financial condition is getting poor.

She cannot ignore the conversation with the attorneys as they mentioned better opportunities for her in Landman Season 2. So, now the question arises: will Rebecca leave the company she once defeated with all her power?

Meanwhile, Ariana struggles with her new job at The Patch Cafe, fearing long hours will keep her away from Miguel. A chat with Barney helps her realize that the money could give Miguel a more secure future.

Returning home, she finds Cooper asleep outside her garage, waiting for his funeral jacket. Despite the clashes between the two, Ariana joins Cooper at his grandmother's funeral because he once stood by her when she lost almost everything and had no one to support her.

Landman Season 2 episode 4 continues, and Cami is as desperate as ever to save M-Tex. She visits Monty's grave and later makes a bold plan: bringing Dan in as an investor to rescue M-Tex.

Even though her home is mortgaged, she tells her assistant to prepare it for sale, clearly planning to use Dan’s investment to stabilize everything. At their meeting, she lays out the financial hole they’re in: the storm-damaged rig, the cost of drilling, and the massive budget required to reach the reservoir.

But Dan makes an unexpected decision: he won't join Cami and M-Tex without Tommy. Despite seeing how Tommy behaved in the previous episode, and refused to shake hands, Dan wants him.

It seems like Dan knows that Tommy is the one who makes most of the strategic decisions, so he tells Cami to pause everything until Tommy Norris agrees to the deal. And during the meeting, fans also get to see Bella, Dan's beautiful wife, played by none other than Stefania Spampinato.

This leaves Cami in the worst condition: she can’t sell the house, can’t fund repairs, and can only wait. On the other side, the Norris family is on their way to pick up Thomas for Dorothy's funeral.

Thomas immediately gets along with Ariana and can tell she and Cooper are dealing with some tension. During the funeral and later at The Bucket, everyone tries to stay upbeat, but Tommy’s bitterness toward Thomas ruins the mood.

As the episode continues, Tommy makes it clear that he's still mad at his father. He belived that T.L. abandoned him during the toughest time. And instead of clashing over the dynamics, T.L. admits that he did leave his family and ended up losing both his son and wife.

By the end of episode 4 of Landman Season 2, Tommy notices that his lively daughter is crying. It might look like she's upset because of the movie she watched, but the reality is that Ainsley feels broken after learning Dorothy's story.

It's heartbreaking for her to realize that her grandmother faced so much pain in her life, and even her son and husband weren't that close to her. Seeing his only daughter breaking down, Tommy finally reveals the truth he’s been burying.

It's revealed that Tommy had a baby sister who died of SIDS. That loss shattered Dorothy and also forced Thomas to distance himself from his family. At the same time, Tommy was reeling with the pain.

Ainsley and Angela feel sorry for all that Tommy has gone through and their compassion actually helped Tommy. At the end of episode 4, Tommy brings T.L. home and is ready to rebuild their relationship.
