Landman Season 2 star Andy Garcia reveals he was not initially aware of his "different alias"

Andy Garcia admits that he was not aware that this season would start with his character having a “different alias”. According to Andy Garcia, Danny Morrell comes with a “kind of duality of life” which is “like “Bruce Wayne and Batman”.

There will also be an aspect of spontaneity in his character, which can already be seen in the episodes of Landman Season 2. As an “investment banker”, Danny is “managing money for a lot of people”. He “got his fingers everywhere,” which makes him a significant character in the second season.

It cannot be denied that Andy Garcia truly does a commendable job in bringing life to the complex character of Danny Morrell in Landman Season 2. Besides this series, some of Garcia’s other notable projects include Rebel, Long Gone Heroes, Black Rain, The Godfather Part III, etc. In episode 6 of Landman Season 2, Cami and Tommy discuss their deal with Gallino.

Tommy suggests going 70-30 and adds that he will pay 20% service debt to Gallino. He also tells them to split the overhead, maintenance, and everything else. However, Gallino does not accept the deal. Rather, he says that the division will be 60-40 with a 30% promoter off the top.

Tommy refuses to accept this deal, which causes Gallino to change the number to 20% on promotion, with the whole 40% going to the debt service until the loan is paid off. Cami admits that the deal is “good”, to which Gallino admits that it shows them the type of partner he can be.

Gallino also indicates that his goal is to get Tommy’s trust. It cannot be denied that Andy Garcia’s presence in this episode of the second season of Landman creates a distinct level of intrigue with the way he handles the character. Gallino also adds doubt in Tommy’s mind as he is able to sense the complexity between the two of them. He tells Tommy that others would use the opportunity to “poison” Cami’s mind, “to get rid of” him. The manner in which Gallino positions himself as a friend in Tommy’s life truly leaves an impact.

After the events of the seventh episode in Season 2 of Landman, the anticipation for the next episode is increasing with each passing moment. The next episode of this intense series will drop on January 4. This season of Landman will come with ten episodes in total.

Episodes 9 and 10 of this series will arrive on January 11 and 18. With only three episodes left this season, the stakes are definitely high for the characters. It will be intriguing to see where the complications lead in the upcoming episodes of Landman Season 2. Paramount+ is the streaming platform for this series.
