Law and the City Season 1 wrapped up after a 12-episode run with the finale airing on August 10, 2025. The official synopsis of the show, as per IMDb, mentions,

“Five attorneys at a law firm navigate cases and build friendships. They include An Ju Hyeong, a competent but detached senior lawyer, and Kang Hui Ji, a passionate junior associate who believes in changing lives.”

As Law and the City Season 1 ended, the five friends chose different paths while ensuring that they did not fall out of touch. Let us now explore in detail what happened in Episode 11.

Sang-Gi helps an orphan with a real estate case in Law and the City Episode 11

In the penultimate episode of Law and the City, the firm’s unity seems to be weakening, though that does not stop Sang-Gi from dealing with a real estate case that has been assigned to him by Ryu-Jin. The case involves an orphan who informs Sang-Gi that while he had signed a contract for an apartment, the owner has now thrown him out, denying the existence of any kind of signed contract.

The real estate agent was the one who had signed the boy the document, and as Sang-Gi gets deeper into the case, it becomes clear that he sees too much of himself in the orphan, who thinks that he is simply unlucky and therefore nothing works out for him. Sang-Gi, however, decides that he will help the boy at any cost.

After Sang-Gi pays the real estate agent a visit, it becomes obvious that it was he who was causing trouble. Ultimately, after collecting sufficient proof, Sang-Gi wins the case, and that necessarily gives the orphan boy the much-needed hope to go forward in life.

Man-su dies in Law and the City Episode 11

While Sang-Gi was dealing with the orphan’s case, Ju-Hyeong and Mun-Jeong were on the case of Man-su, a rather eccentric character who was going through some land dispute. However, the man could not provide them with enough information to help him, but the duo looks into his case nonetheless.

As Mun-Jeong and Ju-Hyeong go to see Man-su’s land, they come to know that the land in question belongs to Han-Su, who is not connected to Man-su. This naturally confuses the two attorneys, though they continue investigating.

It seems like Man-su is actually fighting for someone else’s land, and while there is no clear reason behind his acting in this manner, it seems that he is simply a good person.

Ultimately, Ju-Hyeong and Mun-Jeong discover that a large portion of Han-Su’s land was illegally taken, and that meant Man-su was right in his claims. However, when these two try to call Man-su and give him the news, he does not pick up, and it is revealed that he has passed away.
