In the premiere, fans are introduced to Ahn Ju-hyeong (Lee Jong-suk), a methodical lawyer who treats his job like a craft, not a calling. He avoids emotions in the courtroom and prefers logic over drama, even advising a rookie lawyer not to take inspiration from TV shows.

Back at his busy firm, the legal team bonds over daily lunch debates. When a colleague announces he’s leaving, Ju-hyeong casually mentions a blind date, which, as predicted, he ditches early to attend the farewell dinner.

Ju-hyeong takes on a case involving a blind accountant accused of assault. As he investigates, he uncovers a past romantic relationship between the two men involved but keeps their secret in court while still winning the case with smart reasoning.

Law and The City Episode 1 ends with the arrival of Hee-ji, a sharp new hire who shares a history with Ju-hyeong. Their silent glance across the dinner table hints at unresolved emotions that may soon surface.

What to expect from Law and The City Episode 2?

In the upcoming episode of Law and The City, the team will have its first dinner with Hee-ji, who seems to be a highly positive and charming personality. The preview shows her admitting that she and Ju-hyeong had a brief relationship in the past, and now they're co-workers.

While Hee-ji has a clear memory of their relationship, Ju-hyeong pretends he forgot her. At the same time, the team will be seen tackling tough legal cases, with others even questioning Ju-hyeong if he's a lawyer or not.
