In the end, Detective Ted Bruno survived, and Benson got a hopeful update from the medics that the shrapnel did a lot of damage, but he was stable. Soon, they found out that Andrew lived in a neighbourhood that was part of a white supremacist group led by geneticist Joseph Dahlsonn.Turns out Dahlsonn brought embryos from Sarah's fake charity for his evil eugenics program. His assistant spilled the truth about the secret program, but there were legal difficulties, and it was tough to prove them guilty.ADA Price wanted to find concrete evidence against Dahlsonn. They tracked a woman named Polina, whom Sarah had kidnapped, and she had given birth to a girl. Unfortunately, she didn't want to keep her baby because she was afraid of getting detained. Upon Benson's request, she agreed to put the baby up for adoption.Meanwhile, Sarah tried to manipulate the cops, turning the case. She played the perfect victim. But Dahlsonn exposed her. Turns out, Sarah has been responsible for the deaths of many women. Dahlsonn showed the cops the area where she buried the bodies. The jury found Sarah guilty of all charges. Dahlsonn testified against her. The abducted women and Polina applied for citizenship in the US.Even though the episode initially left us worrying about Bruno's fate. He survives in the end and returns to the precinct, and even cracks a light-hearted joke.
