The new legal K-drama, Law and the City, featuring Lee Jong-suk and Moon Ga-young, explores the lives of five associate lawyers working in the Seocho legal district. It's often referred to as the legal capital of South Korea, which means it's not an easy task.

The story doesn’t just revolve around high-stakes cases, as it also dives into the routines, relationships, and quiet personal battles of young professionals who happen to wear suits and argue in courtrooms. Jong-suk will appear as a character named Ahn Joo-hyung, a sharp and experienced lawyer who has spent nearly a decade at the same law firm.

What makes this role even special for fans is that the actor has portrayed a slightly comparable role in While You Were Sleeping, alongside South Korean A-lister Bae Suzy. Joo-hyung is methodological and keen about details rather than lofty ideas of justice.

On the other hand, Ga-young plays Kang Hee-ji, a spirited rookie attorney with an artistic past. Once dreaming of a career in art, she turned to law after realizing the importance of protecting people through legal means.

The drama is written by Lee Seung-hyun, a real-life lawyer, which promises a high level of authenticity in how legal work is portrayed. The director is Park Seung-woo, known for W: Two Worlds Apart, a series that also starred Lee Jong-suk, making this a reunion worth watching.
