The long-running Canadian mockumentary Trailer Park Boys has completed filming its thirteenth season. According to Deadline, production finished in Nova Scotia, marking the return of Ricky, Julian, and Bubbles after a seven-year gap since the last season aired.

The new season will release on TPB+, the rebranded version of the franchise’s streaming platform, SwearNet, in April 2026 to align with the series’ 25th anniversary.

This development confirms speculation that began earlier this year when Mike Smith, who plays Bubbles and co-owns the brand, hinted at the show’s comeback during a social media appearance.

Season 13 will consist of ten episodes and is produced by Trailer Park Boys Inc. in association with Blink49 Studios. It will feature returning and new cast members, along with the original trio writing and producing the season.

Returning to Sunnyvale

Season 13 revisits the fictional Sunnyvale Trailer Park in Nova Scotia, where the show’s central characters, Ricky (Robb Wells), Julian (John Paul Tremblay), and Bubbles (Mike Smith), navigate their latest schemes. All three leads have confirmed their involvement.

In a statement to Deadline, Smith said,

“Feels like it’s been awhile,”

While Wells asked,

“Is this a fcking dream?”

Tremblay added,

“We need to celebrate this sht!”

The main cast will be joined by familiar faces, including Patrick Roach, Cory Bowles, Jacob Rolfe, Jeanna Harrison, Sarah Dunsworth-Nickerson, George Green, Tyrone Parsons, Sam Tarasco, Bernie Robichaud, Brian Heighton, Garnet Estabrooks, Michael Oliver, Terence Lucas, Michael Kennedy, and David Rossetti.

New faces in the Park

For the first time since its revival, Trailer Park Boys introduces new regulars. According to Deadline, Deborah Grover, Noah Al Maktoomi, Uppekha Jain, Jordan Prentice, Hal Bissonette, and Courtney Gilmour are joining the cast. Their characters have not yet been detailed, but they are expected to play roles tied to the evolving storyline in Sunnyvale.

Production and creative team

Ron Murphy directed all ten episodes of Season 13. Executive producers include Gary Howsam and Jonathan A. Walker, alongside Tremblay, Smith, and Wells, who also wrote and produced the season. Aaron Horton served as producer.

The season was funded with the assistance of the Nova Scotia Film & Television Production Incentive Fund, the Canada Media Fund, the Nova Scotia Content Creator Fund, and the Canadian Film or Video Production Tax Credit, according to Deadline. Distribution will be handled by Rollercoaster Entertainment, which has previously managed international sales for the franchise’s shows and films.

TPB+ and global release

Season 13 will stream worldwide on TPB+, the new identity of the franchise’s SwearNet platform, which launched earlier this month. TPB+ currently hosts Trailer Park Boys: Jail and various short-form projects.

The rebranding aligns with the new season’s rollout and reflects the franchise’s move to consolidate its content under one global service, according to Deadline. The original twelve seasons remain available on Netflix outside Canada and on Crave domestically.

Trailer Park Boys: Franchise background

The Trailer Park Boys franchise started with a 1999 feature film created by Barry Dunn, Robb Wells, John Paul Tremblay, and Mike Clattenburg. Its popularity led to a television series that premiered on Showcase in April 2001, running for seven seasons and concluding with a special in 2008.

Over the years, the series expanded with five additional seasons released on Netflix between 2014 and 2018, along with several specials, two miniseries, and two animated shows. The franchise also moved to the big screen with four films: Trailer Park Boys: The Movie, Countdown to Liquor Day, Don’t Legalize It, and Standing on the Shoulders of Kitties: The Bubbles and The Shitrockers Story.
